Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I have seen this thread going like that with major off topic arguments lasting days and not once have I took part in them (they were cleaned up by Mods). I like others can get heated at times as we debate/argue about our hobby, I have not even been posting much lately as there is not much new...

    1) AAC is not better than LDAC or basic aptX, it only sound as good as it can be on Apple devices as that is all they use so they spend time tweaking it. On Windows and Android is is not the best implemented it is just another codec. 2) The AZ100 like the AZ80 before them are overrated and...

[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

Creative have a different colour of LED for them, YELLOW is Lossless no second guessing. Again the Dongles do not care what you feed them, they down-sample it unlike a phpne so 24/96k Tidal will still play as Lossless on them where as on a phone it will drop to Adaptive. The FiiO app has also...

[FiiO UTWS5 2025/UTWS5] True Wireless Bluetooth Amplifier Is Officially Released!

I have the FW5's so basically the same but opt to use either aptX Adaptive or LHDC (LDAC is still a beta function and no FW updates in over a year), not sure why they did not add that codec to the 2025 refresh of the ear loops.

[FiiO UTWS5 2025/UTWS5] True Wireless Bluetooth Amplifier Is Officially Released!

^^ You have no issue with the older FiiO device as it uses a chipset that supports LDAC via 2 data streams not shoehorning it onto a chipset using QUALCOMMS Lossless Compression (as a hack) that does not actually support it so that is a moot point.

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters

Virgin's HUB's need to be left on Auto channels and Optimised box checked and do not sperate the 2.4/5 or the WIFI POD's will not work.

^^I know these are about SQ but 6 hours AAC/SBC @ 50% in 2025 is poor, seems to be the case for earbuds with xMEMS though I thought they were better on battery by initial claims. You be lucky to get 2-3 hours with Lossless+ANC.

[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

Other say the BT-W6 sounds better, they are all digital so basically should sound near the same. but saying that the BT-W6 sound better to me and it can go really loud even with earbuds that do not seem as loud on my phone (Android 15 crap volume limiter). At least with the BT-W6 you know for...

I will not use Samsung so long as they do not give all the better/newer codecs (aptX HD/LDAC is the best you get) to try and get users to buy there own earbuds and proprietary codecs to get some form of "High Res"
