Ultimate Ears LIVE Impressions Thread
Well, this is turning out to be quite the thread. So... views so far - 1. Its not an audiophile piece 2. Its a piece for onstage monitoring - guess, I'd be the ideal candidate for checking that then... unfortunately it looks like that I won't be able to test that without taking a leap of...- HalfBakedPotato

UE Lives should help with battery life then when on stage I guess.... which is a good thing from the point of view of that particular application. Funny you should mention the sibilance issue - one singer I work with, the Roxannes really pick up on his esses! I thought it was an EQ issue at the...- HalfBakedPotato

One of my main points of interest with this piece is that it is partially DD - maybe this will give me something a little extra/different to the Roxanne. I've never owned a hybrid so don't know what quite to expect. I think the last time I heard one was the UM Merlin. Funnily enough, not that...- HalfBakedPotato

This sounds very interesting. For me, the reproduction of the bass is very important- if doesn't have to be amazingly accurate I guess, just exciting - and the wording of "very addictive bass slam" coupled with lush mids has has certainly got me raising my eyebrow. It sounds like that its...- HalfBakedPotato

@twister6 - additionally, could you confirm theres no external venting for the dynamic driver? As you can see, I'm really anxious about learning about the bass response in these drivers - especially compared to the Roxanne which is my current benchmark for bass. I see you have 18ts also, have...- HalfBakedPotato

Really interested in getting some solid feedback on these - especially for anybody who can compare them against the JH Roxanne. Tempting stuff...- HalfBakedPotato

JH Audio Layla and Angie - Head-Fi TV
Meh. Can't keep up with technology. But at this price, I wouldn't want to. JH Audio business practice is going to lose them a lot of fans I'm sure but I'm sure the profit margins in Layla and Angie alone will soon offset that. Bit disappointing as others have remarked, given that Jerry...- HalfBakedPotato

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
Not a cool move for those with existing expensive cables... would be a bit of a shock with a set of IEMs turning up with a different connector! Not a cool move when replacement cables aren't readily available from JH themselves... Not a cool move for those that don't want the bulky cable...- HalfBakedPotato

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
Perhaps I should clarify, I only eq on stage, not when listening. I would be very, very surprised if when Jerry is engineering bands he didn't tweak the eq to each individuals taste. My demands out of an IEM for live use is very different to just listening to music.- HalfBakedPotato

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
I'm not really sure why he has gone away from the U shape... but with EQ, I'm pretty much convinced you can get whatever you want (within reason) from the Roxannes. There is literally so much headroom, even some crazy boost (as opposed to your standard cut) will not pose a problem. I was quite...- HalfBakedPotato

JH Audio Sirens Series Roxanne Impressions Thread
OK, I've had mine for quite a while now, so I thought I would share some of my thoughts with you. These are probably the best fitting IEMs that I've had... so top marks for that. I was a little concerned that the CF would have an impact on fit (combined with the fact that my impressions were...- HalfBakedPotato
