I think factory has too much bass for most music and I'm pretty happy with the midrange where it is. I do have an EQ with them bumped up by one or two DB though. I think if I push the mids as far as your eq then it actually gets a bit unpleasant and siblant.

Since this post and my last one mine has progressed 8%. I did do everything it said not to though, locked my phone, suspended the app, and even turned off the headphone just to test what would happen and it just prompts you to reconnect, no disaster.
