New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
I just ordered a Jotunheim , with the DAC, which is supposed to be very analytical. I guess I will find out if that theory is true.- greenback

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
For anyone looking for another cable for the Elear, my Beyerdynamic T5P.2 cable works perfectly with the Elear and it looks good too. I'm going to order a second cable 1.4m so that I don't have to use the ridiculous cable it comes with.- greenback

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
I own both. The TH-900 are better for EDM, in that they focus more on the lower frequencies, with detail and impact. The Elear has bass and you can feel it, but it isn't the same thing. The TH900 bass isn't bloated though, not like, say the Shure SRH1540, which sounds super bloated and...- greenback

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
They are very similar in imaging, even their sound signature seems very similar. The Elear are warmer though. When I listen to Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats, the guitar has more weight behind it in the Elear. It is not a huge difference, but it is noticeable. There are some songs where the...- greenback

New Beyerdynamic T5p 2nd generation
I just got these tonight and I am really enjoying these cans so far. A different sound from my Elear and TH900s, but in a good way. They sound just as good, but with a better seal for noise reduction. I listen to a lot of electronic music and these are perfect for that on the go, or at home...- greenback

Audeze EL-8 Closed Version Impressions Thread
They block noise with or without music playing. As for plane noise, you would have to look at the frequency chart for that. Most headphones don't block noise that low very well, but with music, it would be better.- greenback

Audeze EL-8 Closed Version Impressions Thread
I notice the sound becomes muffled if the headphones shifts on one ear or the other. I notice it most if I am laying down with them on. If I stop moving then it evens out, and I don't notice it while sitting or standing.- greenback

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Generally speaking it isn't an issue. The small size appeals to me for portability, bringing it to work, or using it with my laptop when I travel. I don't have any headphones that I can't run out of my phone if I am on public transit, which isn't often, and I care more about distraction than...- greenback

LH LABS - GEEK OUT V2 INFINITY I haven't decided yet, but I might go with an LH Labs Geek Out V2 Infinity. Need to read some reviews of it. But the specs and portability seem great. "Geek Out V2 Infinity is the most transparent DAC you can find, supporting PCM up to 32/384 kHz and DSD up...- greenback

Yeah, the shop has a 15 day return/exchange policy, so I just sent them an email. Should be able to visit them on Saturday to deal with it as it is within 15 days. Not sure if I will stick with the Mojo or get something else instead.- greenback

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Sure. I've had this for four days now. I had it in a felt pocket with a usb cable otherwise it hasn't rubbed up against anything potentially hard. Those marks are not possible from a USB cable, and if it had been that you would see the bare metal not the coating you see over those marks.- greenback

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Except you don't see that with a dvd player, PC cases or most other amps/dacs and so on. It just shows a lack of professionalism that you would think it's OK to sell a product that is damaged right out of the box. Maybe they take more care on their more expensive gear, but it isn't as though...- greenback

Anyone else run into quality control issues with their mojo? I just received mine in the mail a couple of days ago and just noticed that there are gouges in the metal around the volume down ball. It is all coated, so it looks like the metal was that way when they coated it and then put it...- greenback

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I don't know how they do it, but I love it. I don't think there is another headphone out there that could beat the TH900 at what it does. My favorite genre is electronic music, especially EDM and it blows everything else out of the water.- greenback
