Goldring DR100
While they are not bad, it is worthy to consider the DR150's, which are only about £46 on amazon right now. I do believe they sound much more than the £6-7 difference might imply.- gngf123

What would you do if you could no longer enjoy your hobby?
This crossed my mind recently, mostly because of an accident that I was involved in. But how would guys cope if you suddenly was unable to enjoy the high quality gear you have brought? Especially headphones and amps. For example, if you were to lose hearing or something like that.- gngf123

HPs for FPS (+ dolby headphone). RX700/900,CAL!, DR-150, HD555...
As a DR150 user myself, the sound quality is great, far better than most in that price range, but I don't really see them as gaming headphones. The sound is to in-your-face to get the upper hand I find.- gngf123

30th November Evening - Mini Meet in Bank, London
Sorry guys, I might not be able to come after all. I have just been in a traffic accident, and I have minor head injuries which will take a little while to heal.- gngf123

AKG 701 boring?
Buy something with a different sound signature. That sounds the simple problem here, you just don't like the sound. Everyone has different tastes. An amp would help too mind you.- gngf123

I would appreciate some assistance in choosing some 'enclosed' circumaural headphones for iPhone and Macbook Pro... thanks
Towards the upper end, the M50 gets the most credit around here, but I am yet to have hear it. You may get some people that say Grado SR60/80, but we get ripped off in the UK, so you might do better importing. EDIT: Few more things to point out: If you live near London...- gngf123

Loading static noise.
Thanks for the feedback. I found some old gear and fixed the problem, it was a ground loop just as you said it could be.- gngf123

Loading static noise.
I am just wondering if any of you guys have noticed a strange (rather quiet) static noise whenever there is any hard drive activity. I am convinced it is a software noise and not as a result of hardware, as I can seemingly turn it off by unplugging my sound gear. I have disabled all...- gngf123

What comes after M50 and D2000
I have read a few people on here say that the mids and highs of the XB500's are a little more acceptable. But I haven't heard them myself so I am probably not the best person for this.- gngf123

London (UK) meeting.
I haven't really got any really decent cans that I can bring. I could bring my DR150's, just out of interest. If anyone is interested in hearing them.- gngf123

Headphones for a girl I know.
Quote: Wow, hang on a second. This isn't a girlfriend, lol. The creative's were something I was looking at. The sextetts could probably be found underbudget too, but that is tight. The superlux looks good, but also looks really hard to find over here.- gngf123
