ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
Hi, Will try them in the future (when I get them), at the moment I could try a higher OI amp, the effect should be similar I guess. Right now I've only played with eq. I'm coming from BA bass and I do feel the Monarchs bass a little looser, but very enjoyable (like a full sized sub). I'm just...- gatucho

ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
Hi everyone, I just got my Monarchs last week and I'm really pleased with them. Although I can see the slight lack of warmth, I'm mostly fine but I've been using a parametric eq. f=180, gain=3dB and Q=1.4. I gather that this maybe yields a similar bass to that of the Clarivoyance. But I am...- gatucho

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
At least I'm not alone. Yesterday I was experimenting with different settings and programs and found out that indeed BubbleUpNP does skips with Tidal, but less frequently and it is only a brief hiccup, whereas UAPP totally stops. As many of you say, maybe there is a problem with Tidal servers...- gatucho

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Please help me, I have been using UAPP for a couple of years with Tidal-hifi. But since about two weeks it has been unusable. I keep getting the "audio data not received in time" all the time. It will just stop playing and if I press play it will resume again (almost instantly), but it won't do...- gatucho

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread
This is a question for @iFi audio. What is the load impedance that the xdsd can drive in the line output mode? Likewise, what is the output impedance of the xdsd in line output mode? This is because I know that certain elements of the output stage are bypassed in line output mode and a high...- gatucho

As much as I like the xdsd in Bluetooth mode I still prefer USB connection when possible. In this regard I have been struggling to find a nice long cable to connect my USB c phone with the xdsd. I wanted to keep using the phone and keep the xdsd in my desk. The requirements are: a long flexible...- gatucho

I'm using Android, LG v30. I always knew that Bluetooth is buggy as hell (I mean this in general not only for the xdsd), I was just hopping that ifi's implementation would be less so. The sound quality is good though...- gatucho

iFi audio xDSD- The Official Thread
Just go my xdsd yesterday and after the initial listening sessions with my trusty Andromedas so far I find it actually sounds quite good! (Even with Bluetooth). The device is actually smaller than I thought and really nice looking and feeling. Also tested with the B&W p7 (wired) and found that...- gatucho

Yes I noted this one also, but it seemed too "plastiky". And besides it has no aptX HD support, as opposed to the xdsd which is all metal and supposedly did aptX HD. It was no contest. Well at least the metal part still is:rolling_eyes:- gatucho

Regardin the xCAN... Mmm I don't see an USB data port. So either a standalone amp or wireless only ( actual HD support this time:smile_cat:). I do see a separate balanced port, so maybe a true balanced amp?- gatucho

This is all very nice. I do know that ifi tends to customize their ICs. However, how did you learn about this? After the aptX HD fiasco I did what I was supposed to do and researched about the xdsd properly (as opposed to believing the official ifi statements in a forum), and couldn't find any...- gatucho

Why are better, just released, and even "flagships" (q5) dac/amps (I mean more powerful and better sq) being sold with lesser wireless support!?:face_palm: Crazy world I guess... jajaja- gatucho

Besides, I know that there isn't much difference between aptX classic and HD, but for me THIS was a deciding factor: Q5: more I/o options and true balance out Mojo: ultra clean output Xdsd: friggin aptX HD!- gatucho

I swear I will let go of this... eventually. But really, just follow my quote. It is from the OFFICIAL ifi post, by the official ifi person. In fact just Google this (literally): "The xDSD has pulled off the task" and you will find a few hits saying the EXACT same thing as the post I quoted...- gatucho
