Check my amended post I use a Gemini cable and an old power supply I had laying around. If you got it to work that's great! In this business it's whatever gets you going. Everybody's system is different

I agree that USB power might be the problem. I have my iGalvanic powered separately from my computer via a gemini cable.

I am not familiar with amereno. Some drivers have settings, some don't. Perhaps you can open a support ticket with iFi. https://support.ifi-audio.com/kb/index.php

I would look at the amenero driver. See if you are using their latest....and look at the driver settings.

Wow, that is a lot of latency. I was thinking you might need some but 8 seconds is very high. Have you tried decreasing it? Try around 500 msec. What dac do you use?

Try increasing latency in your dac driver or media player if possible.
