Seems like people are getting a very quiet noise floor on this thing. However, on my unit, even with the Focal Clears (and definitely with IEMs), I get a static buzz on both high and low gain. Seems like turning the OLED brightness higher actually makes the buzz worse. I'm using 4x Sparkos...

I also sent over STL files. Worked great in the end, matched my other CIEMs perfectly.

An ambient IEM would be cool for artists! Reminds me a bit of a similar idea from Sensaphonics (their 3DME system) to reduce the “closed off” feeling from normal full isolation IEMs.

Laughs in UM. JH’s pricing (excluding add-ons) for the 16BA flagship is fairly competitive. Props to them for the reasonable pricing.

My Sharona's got here on Thursday and I've been listening to them nonstop the past few days. These are my initial impressions after about 12 hours of total ear time [with no burn-in, because I don't believe it makes a difference on BAs]. Leaving out specs because I see no point in re-iterating...

Man those look really hard to solder, especially on the IEM side... does not seem fun.

I did hear from someone in the know at AXPONA that there is something quite interesting in the works. I'm curious what they'll decide to drop after the Sharona launch and hope that it'll appeal to the audiophile crowd. ;)

I'm primarily used to listening to tribrids these days (DD+BA+EST). I think the modern day ESTs are actually quite brilliant (namely the Sonion ones) and offer very detailed and crisp treble response. Getting the three drivers to actually blend well though can be fairly tricky and not every set...
