Found a way to wear the Sennheiser IE80 with greater comfort
Hi, For 2 years I have struggled on finding a proper way to wear the Sennheiser IE8/IE80 properly on my ears. I've tried a few different tricks and none of them have worked properly, I've always been pushed back to wear the IEM's the way Sennheiser wants you to wear them which hasn't worked very...- FinnishSpartan

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
Quote: I doubt any owner of the HDVD800 has had time to burn in their DAC for 300-600 hours (that would mean 12 to 25 days nonstop). Leaving the amp on for 600 hours straight to burn-in wouldn't do it any good either. Even if you listened 8 hours a day, it would mean that you would...- FinnishSpartan

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
Quote: Thanks for the positive feedback! Yeah, it's bit of a bummer that there are not that many reviews out there, and it's really difficult to find any place that even has them available for testing, we really need more reviews so please post yours too when you get it- FinnishSpartan

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
I was lucky enough to get a chance to test the HDVD800 in a store for around two hours with my HD800's. Boy, I've got to say it was an amazing experience. I can barely put into words what I experienced, I was simply at "awe". English is not my native language, so pardon me if I cannot...- FinnishSpartan

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
I heard from somewhere that the HDVD800 would include a balanced cable for the HD800's. Is this true? If not, does Sennheiser supply official cables somewhere?- FinnishSpartan

Best amp for the hd800s?
The Lehmann rhinelander is a moderately "cheap" amp that according to my knowledge was designed specifically for the HD800's there's also the more expensive model Black Cube Linear. To me the BCL hardly gives a much greater sound improvement compared to the price. If you have a good dac or a...- FinnishSpartan

Need help building a rig for the upcoming Sennheiser HDVD 800 amp
Hi, This will be a long post, if you find it too long to read, you can skip to the bottom for my setup configurations, please select one and explain why it would work the best. If you have additional suggestions, please be free to tell them as well. I rarely post on these forums since...- FinnishSpartan

Headphone help
I would go with closed headphones if you plan to go to LAN parties or tournaments. Personally I can reccomend the HD380 headphones, they have been specifically designed for audio monitoring and will offer one of the best experiences if you really want to hear each step an opponent makes...- FinnishSpartan

Combining amps, can you do it?
Quote: There are no problems with the amp on the Xonar, it will play the music just fine and as loud as I want it to. The sound is just "flatter" and not as rich as I can achieve with a Black Cube Linear. If I remember correctly the BCL was also designed specifically for/with the...- FinnishSpartan

Quote: Okay, So I decided to make a video demonstrating my headphone volume... I just had a medical exam, hearing included. According to the results my hearing is doing great (so far). Quote: Yeah well... The HD800's are more like TV speakers. I don't...- FinnishSpartan

Combining amps, can you do it?
Quote: Thanks for the tips! I will try out my amps combined and see what happens, I suspected that there might be more noise. However just wanted to know if you could do it and test it out (that you answered, thanks!), I can always just get rid of a part in the system after using it. ...- FinnishSpartan

Combining amps, can you do it?
Hi, I have a Lehmann Rhinelander and a Lehmann BCL amp, I've been using the other one at my bedside. But however after getting another BCL I have my rhinelander left over. Just wondering if I could hook up my rhinelander to my BCL so that the signal passes through it and amps it before...- FinnishSpartan

le me Sennheiser HD800
Quote: Well I took an artistic view for the comic, really the neighbour banged the door for a few minutes before I noticed and went to open the door. I live in a small apartment so the noise does leak pretty well to the other dorms, and measuring my HD 800's from the furthest point...- FinnishSpartan
