I recently bought the HE-560i travel case for my HE-400i. I have to agree, it's ever so slightly different. It fits, but I need to squeeze it a little. It's tight around the corners of the metal headband. Oh and, the cable has to be disconnected from the headphones. 

  I'll have to try using just my E17 and turning up the bass a little and hear how it sounds!      For sure :D I've heard great things about the LCD-2 as well but that's for another thread

Phew, after over 2 weeks of waiting I finally received my replacement HE-400 all the way from China. I requested for velour pads to be included and HiFiMan included the pads! Great customer service there.    Now, to return the DT990 600 I've been using as a temporary replacement 

Looks like FedEx picked up my package. HiFiMan should be receiving them on 10/23. Can't wait to get my HE-400's back 

Just shipped my HE-400 Rev 3's back to HiFiMan. Can't wait for the replacement to arrive :D   Do you guys know how long it would take for them to receive the HE-400 and send out a replacement? HiFiMan provided FedEx Home Delivery for me to ship it back to them.

Hey guys, just a short update. I was one of them complaining about the sibilance on the HE-400 (I have the Rev.3). Anyway, I ordered a Beyerdynamic DT990 600 ohm and just received it today along with a FiiO E17 + E09K combo. I would say the sibilance on both the HE-400 and DT990 are comparable...

Same here, I just received the HE-400 this afternoon and it is rather sibilant. Gets tiring after listening to it awhile. I also have the HE-300 with me right now and the trebles aren't as hot as the HE-400's. I have the Rev.3 of the HE-400 with the yellow drivers.    I hope HiFiMan does...
