Possible to damage headphones by having mic/earphone attached?
Bit of a newbie question here - I had this headset which was basically a headband with a single ear speaker and mic, which recently broke. It so happens that it makes a nice headset when I attached it to my DT990s, but I was wondering if I can damage them by having another headphone speaker so...- DW87

What headphones <£100 budget
I got some Beyerdynamic DT990 pro's for £99 last year and they're great, and they have plenty of bass. They're the only headphones I've ever owned besides some Sennheiser HD215s so I can't base this on anything else, but they're certainly worth a look as I see now the SR-80s are around the same...- DW87

Xonar D2X straight to amp question
I'm currently connecting my Xonar D2X straight to my amp using a 3.5mm jack to rca cable - My question is, in Foobar, how should I set the options? Like should I be using 24bit? I've read OldBlueEyez' guide on configuring Foobar when using a DAC, but I'm not sure when using my setup- DW87

Ringing sound from Darkvoice 332
Recently I noticed a ringing noise audible from the right cup of my headphones, almost like a high-pitched 56k modem sound if you can remember! It is connected to my pc but even with the cables disconnected and just the amplifier, I get this constant noise - I had it one time a week or two ago...- DW87

Problem with cable Beyer DT990 pro
I've had these for about 4 months, and I recently noticed the cable connecting to the left ear cup has developed a loose connection or something, when the cable is moved sometimes around the area of the connection to the cup the right cup crackles and even fully cuts out sometimes. I have...- DW87

Cable from sound card to amp
To be honest, I kind of suspected i might not hear a difference with my current setup, just my brother mentioned I was using **** cables when he was here which got me wondering if I was really bottlenecking the SQ in my system. I probably will go for a new cable since they're reasonably priced...- DW87

Anyone? I was thinking a Monster cable, would it be worth the money for just this cable?- DW87

Cable from sound card to amp
I'm currently using a crappy 3.5mm jack to RCA (came with the sound card) to connect my Asus D2X straight to a Darkvoice 332. Is there any use in splashing out on a nicer cable? Something like a Blue Jeans cable?- DW87

Replacing the white filter in dt990 pro?
I had a freak accident 10 minutes ago involving tomato sauce - I won't go into detail but some spots of sauce went on the outside of my DT990s and stained the white filter in between the grooves on the outside and it looks horrible - Can I replace it somehow?- DW87

Grado SR80 - Bassy enough for dance music?
Wow didn't expect to see this thread again! I ended up getting a pair of DT990pros back at christmas time and they're great! I have tried a pair of SR-80s as my mate bought a pair a while ago and I can see what you guys mean - They're good but not for my needs.- DW87
