Is there a big difference between the HE1000 SE and the HE1000 V2 non-stealth? I have the non-stealth V2 which I love to bits but am very curious about the SE.

I was hearing the same noise on my Verite open and switching to 4.4 balanced greatly reduced the noise. But moving the PC under the desk eliminated it. Now I don't hear any noise no matter the connection or gain.

I'm putting a lot of faith in those monitor risers.

Read through this thread and someone suggested using 4.4 balanced over the 4-pin XLR. I did, and now the amp is dead quiet on my dynamic drivers. Didn't even have to move my machine anywhere. Fantastic sounding amp.

Thanks for all the help. I figured out that the noise was from my desktop being too close to the amp.

It is more of a hiss/crackling sound. I still hear it with the volume at 0, which stays the same till the dial hits 12 o'clock and then gets louder as I turn the dial. Same behavior in balanced or SE irrespective of gain.

Hey all, I just got the amp in a day ago and I am hearing some static on all my dynamic driver cans, but planars are dead quiet. I've tried both balanced and RCA connections, but still hear the static. I'm using all stock tubes, but do have some tubes recommended in this thread on the way...
