Drew of Shellbrooksaudio
Well, I wasn't going to say anything else, but I guess that I can't help myself. The email problem is my fault. I'm pretty sure that I said that, but if I didn't, then I'm saying it now. The shipping is my fault as well. Perhaps I didn't make things clear regarding that. I've never shirked...- drewd

Drew of Shellbrooksaudio
Let me start off by saying that I'm sorry if anybody has sent emails to me without getting a response. I respond to every email that I receive, so if you haven't heard from me, then it's because I haven't received the email. I have no doubt that the problem is on my end. My email host is...- drewd

How long will it take to learn how to design your own amp?
Regarding math, I'm with Tangent 100%. I took more math classes than I want to think about when I studied for my EE degree, but the end result of having to know the math wasn't to be able to sit down and calculate currents through a transistor or to figure out the impulse response of a digital...- drewd

Cmoy Circuit
Whoa there, fellas - R2 sets the input impedance of the amplifier. Its primary purpose is to present a constant, high impedance load to the source. Without it, the source will see a varying load from the potentiometer and, as the volume is changed, the sound quality of the amplifier will change...- drewd

Cyro-treated DIY products worth the extra $$?
Cryo treating is another way of tempering metal. When a metal is properly tempered at very low temperatures, defects and disclocations in the crystal lattice can be "healed", thus increasing the strength of the metal. That's a great thing for materials that face great stress, like high pressure...- drewd
