Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Hi there, I possess the HiBy R3 Pro Saber for quite some times without having any issues until now. Indeed, the player stop playing FLAC files and restart only with some albums. I initially noticed that it was happening with some 24 bit files but now some 16 bit are also inducing this restart...

SMSL Sanskrit 24bit 192kHz USB DAC

Thanks, I mostly use the Sanskrit to listen digital music on a home stereo system. I found the Sanskrit a bit messy on high frequencies. It is a bit agressive for me. I look at something warmer in this part of the spectrum. I have a DAP using a double Sabre ESS DAC which I found perfect. I'd...

SMSL Sanskrit 24bit 192kHz USB DAC

Hi, It is an old thead but anyway, I'm giving a chance to ask my question. I possess the SMSL Sanskrit 10th MKII and use it between my streamer Wiim Pro (coax connection between the two) and my power amplifier, an old NAD. I find the sound to be correct but would like to improve it at low...

    Replacing SMSL Sanskrit MKII

Hi all, I'd like to get some advices from you guys. I'm using the mentioned dac to transmit FLAC files from Wiim Pro through coaxial cable to my vintage NAD integrated amplifie through RCA. I like this small dac but I'm tempted to improve sound quality but at low cost again. I'm considering the...

Hiby R3 Pro Saber and external DAC

Well I managed to find a solution which is not perfect but anyway. I bought an external DAC (SMSL Sanskrit 10th MK2) and a good USB-C to micro-USB cable. This way by pushing the Hiby R3 Pro Saber to max the sound out of my DAC is wonderfull. I gave up on the jack possibilities. Everything I...

[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

Hi, I have a related question. Does the USB cable used to connect the M6 to an external DAC have to be OTG? The one (USB-C to Micro-USB) I'm using for my HiBy R3 does not work with my Fiio M6.

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Updated my R3 PS to firmware 2.0 and so far nothing weird is happening. If you want to contact Hiby through their site it's possible but if you contact them to complain I doubt that you'll get an answer.

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

I've no problem with my R3 Pro when use as a DAP using iem connected to 3.5 mm jack. Did not try 2.5 mm yet. Is it better or much better?

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Did not try 2.5 mm-RCA cable to connect it to my old amplifier. Had to buy an external DAC (SMSL) to put between my amplifier and R3 Pro and now the sound is great.

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Hi there, my comment has nothing to do with R3 Pro Saber directly but rather with Hiby. First I noticed that my review regarding the product never got published on their website (easy to maintain 5 stars comments this way). Then I complained about the poor sound quality out of 3.5 mm lineout...

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

Hi, a quick update. Using an external DAC connected to my Hiby R3 Pro Saber through USB C solved my issues. However there is still something annoying that, I am sure, can be fixed but I don't know how. When I plug my DAP to my my DAC through USB C and USB set as audio out on the Hiby the volume...
