Portable Amp for IEM's?
I will also put a vote in for the E11, cheap and does a very good job. An option for normal batteries would have made this a much better amp though, it has a ridiculous charge time and if you don't use it the battery will lose charge over time without even being on. I use mine with an ipod...- Devlin

Reply to review by 'devlin' on item 'Sennheiser HD 595 Headphones'
Very bizarre, I've had a pair of 595's for a couple of years now and I have never experienced this ever. I use them usually when I'll be sitting on my PC for an extended period of time because they're extremely comfortable really, I'm wearing them right now, flicked the cable a few times just to...- Devlin

Earsonics SM3 Appreciation Thread - Third Time is a Charm?
Quote: Really? I bought some Olive tips from Amazon the day after I got my SM3 v2's and they fit fine, don't really even need to force them really. These really are beautiful iem's, every time I try any of my other headphones as soon as I put these on later I realise again what a...- Devlin

Earsonics sm3 V2
I've used my SM3 v2's with the Fiio E7's and now the E11's and there is a good deal of difference than just using them through my iPod connector, I use ALAC files and the sound is warmer and clearer using an amp. I don't use EQ, don't really understand modifying the basic sound more than...- Devlin

Please, If you have an SM3, come in!!!!
Not sure at all, on my V2's it seems pretty central bass wise. I use the Shure olive tips as per some recommendations on here and for me they provide an excellent fit and seal, I found the Complys that came with awful, the silicones are ok but with the Shures on they pretty much fit flush...- Devlin

FiiO E9 Review
I already have an E7 as I said above. Odd because a review of the Essence on here said it barely increased the quality beyond that of the onboard chip someone was using so I avoided it.- Devlin

FiiO E9 Review
I almost just bought a ASUS Xonar Essence STX for my desktop (cancelled the order with Amazon) until I remembered I have an E7, so I've ordered an E9 instead, I mainly use my HD595's with my PC and I already know the E7 improves the sound GREATLY from that of the onboard on my Asus P67 PRO Mobo...- Devlin

Best headphones for the Cowon J3 (<500$)
Not up for IEM's? I'm doing it the opposite way, I recently got some SM3 v2's and now I'm trying to find the best MP3 players I can, I got a new iPod classic for Xmas from my wife but unless I'm playing lossless I find the sound quality pretty rough indeed, I don't understand how some people...- Devlin

Earsonics sm3 V2
After listening to mine for a few weeks I'm pleased with the comfort level, using Shure olive tips and I can barely feel them. Like someone above said, these REALLY expose flaws in recordings, I'm mainly listening to Flac recordings and the amount of tracks I go through where an artificial...- Devlin

Earsonics sm3 V2
Been listening to these nearly every opportunity I can get and they're just sounding better and better all the time, I received my Shure olive tips on Friday and they're nice but I'm now considering these: ...- Devlin

Earsonics sm3 V2
Hey all, first post here. Been lurking for a few weeks due to wanting some new phones, prior to this I have been into relatively mainstream audio equipment and these will represent my highest end purchase to date, I have already: Sennheiser IE-6 iem's (for portables) Sennheiser HD 595's (for...- Devlin
