the CTH (Compact Tube Hybrid) Rev A thread...
Thanks for the replies. First, it's tripping with different sources as well. My (usual) sources offset is roughly 10-12mV, but that shouldn't be a problem. It was working fine (at max volume without load connected it did not trip) before i fried it :) I think i've replaced all...- devast

the CTH (Compact Tube Hybrid) Rev A thread...
My issues are the following: A year ago, i connected sg to og, smoke came out etc, fixed the psu part fine. After that it developed the following problem: e12 trips ,depending on the volume of the music. It does it with every tube, its channel independent, with or without a load (headphone)...- devast

the CTH (Compact Tube Hybrid) Rev A thread...
Hi there! After seeing these wonderful new cths, i've got the urge to finally debug mine (it's been semi-working for a year now) :) Can anyone measure the DC offset of his cth, when theres no tube plugged in ? How much should it fluctuate around the output ground ? I guess my ~ 50-60mV...- devast

The Opamp thread

HIFIdiy's mini USB DAC MK2--Also a headphone amp!
Quote: Yep, you are crazy. Just use the line level output from the y2 and feed it to the aune. The output stage of the y2 is probably different, no point in doing that.- devast

HIFIdiy mini USB DAC vs. AUDINST HUD-MX1 DAC vs. others
The Audinst sure looks nice. Too bad the headphone amp is just a cmoy. Despite that, it could sound wonderful. You'll need to spend more on the aune to make it on par/better then the audinst imo.- devast

HIFIdiy's mini USB DAC MK2--Also a headphone amp!
Just a side note: the safe max is 24V. But this unregulated psu you linked will put out more voltage under light load. Personally, i would not use anything unregulated over 16-18V. The stock psu rated for 12V and puts out 16-18V. Also, if you bypass the internal rail splitter and use a dual...- devast

UE cables from eBay?
Subscribed. I hate the stock UE cable... it's too thick and feels like the whole cable is memory wired However, lune cable is a bit too expensive for me, these $50 cables would fit my budget. So does anyone have any experience with them?- devast
