Canare Mini Starquad (L-4E5C) for RCA's?
Simple question, would they be suitable for RCA's, or should I go with the standard, larger 6S version? They will be used to construct ~20ft RCA's for a car installation, where once installed, they will not be moving. Obviously, it wouldn't matter what size I go with in this case, but I'd...- DarkScorpion

HD 555 > amp, or soundcard ?
Agreed. Another idea is to go with a decent cheap portable amp (PA2V2? Pimeta?) along with a new, slightly cheaper card. At least this way, you have that portable option open- DarkScorpion

USB DAC? Or something else.
I wouldn't say it's a BAD thing, but depending on your hardware, you might notice a difference. Cheap solution? I always liked the Chaintech AV-710 soundcard....- DarkScorpion

Lots of Cables
So something like this for the coax: 50' 22 AWG Orange Shielded Silver Teflon Wire Coax - (eBay item 290145727770 end time Nov-30-07 10:20:30 PST) How about for video? Is there any specific wire I must use?- DarkScorpion

Lots of Cables
Long story short, I'm going to recabling my entire home theater system, and would like to make my own IC's for everything. I've already made quite a few IC's for my headphone set-up but never for my home theater, so I've a few questions. My goal is to make IC's for everything, including video...- DarkScorpion

Connect PC to amp - 5 meters away
It'll be easiest to make a cable for yourself. Well, maybe not easiest, but it'll be the cheapest in the long run. If you buy lots of wire, you can make more cables as you go down the line so you wont need to buy anymore cables. Plus, it's pretty fun- DarkScorpion

Do I make the wrong decision?
It wont use enough for you to notice, especially with a dual core. I think your decision is fine.- DarkScorpion

My first GOOD headphone purchase.
Congrats on your purchase. I think you should adjust your eq only slightly in any direction that gives YOU a sound that you prefer. If you don't really want to mess around with it, then leave it be and enjoy the 'phones- DarkScorpion
