"In other news, Peranders is now selling boards for his SMD amp." ....and having a sticky thread to provide this type info would be great

REQUEST: Sticky thread for available PCBs

I'm not sure if this has been discussed already or not but: I'd really like to see a *home* for all these GREAT DIY pcbs that are being made. Sometimes, when there's a board I'm interested in, I have difficulty in finding out how/where to get it, and what the latest revision is. Many...

    Should alcohol leave a film?

Looks like I got in kinda late on this topic but I'll comment anyway. Ellen, if the flux used on the pcb was of the 'no-clean' alchohol based variety, using IPA will leave what appears to be a white residue that is VERY hard to remove in some cases. If it's a rosin based or OA, the IPA...

    A-47 amp done!

Puppy.....was gonna say, all the 1362 preferences I've heard have come from the DI/O list members. I had the 1365 ready to install but ended up going with Jensen tranny outputs....so no op-amps.

Anyone familiar with Art DI/O mods?

Possum: Jep....knobs need to come off...forget how them do. Maybe they just pull off or there's a set screw on the side....but yes, they need to come off.

Anyone familiar with Art DI/O mods?

Possum: If I remember correctly, it's been a while, you have to remove the rear In/Out connector board first. Get that board out and the main board will lift up from the rear and pull out. fyleow: As for changing the gain levels...if you're going to use transformer outputs, then you can...

Art DI/O as a headphone amp?

Tim: Thanks for the clarification. Ja, I already know about the HOT 7V outputs on the analog output side of the ART. That's an issue I going to have to address. I'm hoping there is a GOOD way to bring it down w/o degrading the analog performance. Seems like the gain on the opamp in the ART...

Art DI/O as a headphone amp?

Tim: "the D/IO is very loud with digital mixer controls near minimum from soundcard. " Why? Are you saying that if I use my computer's soundcard's S/DPIF output that the analog output from the D/IO is going to be very loud? If so, is that because of the D/IO or something about the...

Art DI/O as a headphone amp?

Sean: Thanks for that info! I just found the ART at fullcompass and verified it for $122. I'm more than likely going to go ahead and buy it tonight...just waiting on the boss..err, I mean the wife to get home to give me approval I'm going to fire off an email to ART themselves to get...

Art DI/O as a headphone amp?

I had also thought about running the the ART's digi (tubed) output to the digi Input. This would supposedly give the analog output the same tubed sound that would've gone out through the A/D process. This *seems* totally feasible. Can someone confirm this works....works well? doesn't...

    Intermittent wiring on Senn HD580s

Spit laced with dangerous levels of 'stress' enzymes. I could prolly lick the rust off a 100 year old tin roof right now.

Jep....just spit on them and wiped them off on my dirty t-shirt. The intermintancy issue appears to be completely gone Thanks a TON people!!
