I personally think the SP1k is still a very good DAP, even in 2023 - you can pick one up cheap. The relatively small improvements in recent DAPs isn't worth it, IMHO, unless you want a Roon control device which although Roon ready, the SP1k is not. I would much rather spend $$ on a superior...

I have and use this; excellent sound as the seller describes and really really good with an Abyss Diana which I use as well. GLWS.

The T1p's are one of most unappreciated hps around. They give my $4k Abyss Diana Phi's a run for the money with hi-res files and good amplification.

I had mine replaced by AK in Irvine, CA (US). It was not cheap.

My brown base 6SN7's started to hum and buzz on me so I had to replace them with the newer 6SN7WGT Sylvania tubes. They both sound great!

That rectifier tube with the Tung Sol 5998 power tube pair, and the 6SN7WGT Sylvania driver tube pair produce the best sound I've ever heard on my Abyss Diana Phi headphones. Not cheap but so sweet.

I use the 596 USAF Tube with Adapter that I got from Woo Audio. It's a little wide with those dangled wires but sounds very good. https://wooaudio.com/tubes/usaf596-withadapter-each

Yup, I concur: the bass is really something else. I also replaced the foam with a bit of cloth; this opened up the sound. I so regret selling mine; I might have to get another pair. :)

I know these are relatively new but anyone have experience/insights with these active speakers? I read about them and love the concept of no wire clutter, just two AC cables. With ROON throughout my house, I'll be running a CAT5 cable as an input.

Ambre Audio Streamer in black and excellent condition. This has the i2S connection. No power cable included but I'll add a generic power cable if you ask nicely. Been very busy these past few years with family issues and whatnot. This is sitting around and needs to get used. Works...

I have the same issue. Doesn't bother me though; I have a feeling it's from the tubes.

It will literally take you a lifetime to listen to 300K songs... LOL...
