What do people think would be the best supplement to the complement to the Atrium between the VO and VC?

    ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship

I went crackatwoa. I’m thinking the character of the Atrium and the warmth/slam/bite of the C2a are going to underline the strengths of the Atrium. Can’t wait!! When I put the Atrium into my COS H1 vs the BHC it’s not even close - missing out on that “whipping bass” is too big of a loss.

Awesome! Have been reading through this thread and saw your references to some reading material on the topic. Read somewhere tonality is heavily influenced by the power supply regulator, and BH having proprietary ones got me worried - but that might just be so people can’t flat out copy the...

    ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship

Would people suggest a Crackatwoa or Mainline for the Atrium? (And only the Atrium will be used) Loving the Crack on it, warmth, more taut bass - looking for more. I'm leaning Crackatwoa given the warm sound signature, on paper it makes more sense. Or anyone able to say that the synergy with the...

Hiya, I've recently bought/built the BHC (no speedball yet) for my Atrium. First time listening to tubes, and, more, please more! I've been eyeing the Bottlehead site; Crackatwoa, Mainline, .. not just looking for more 'tube sound' but also the build process. (looking at their products, I'm...

What's peoples opinion on Bottlehead Crack, to use OG build or speedball add-on?

The Best Headphones for Metal Music: Tier List (Share your own!)

Beyond the immediately obvious there is planar vs dynamic sound and exposure to better headphones that can influence that opinion. I found the LCD-X great headphones at first, impressed by the planar bass. Then, once I heard better and got used to planar sound. I preferred dynamic sound much better.

Awesome thank you, I have since spoken with the dealer who promptly was all over this (I hadn't talked to him yet before posting this, which is my bad!) - we've come to an agreement on how to proceed and get rid of my concerns. Thank you to all involved!

    The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread

To follow up. Turns out the clear MG I tried initially was broken. Trying a fully functioning one was quite a different story. Very slammy and sharp. Nothing like the HD580 and did not like it at all. STOP SHOUTING CLEARS 😅

Yeah I sent my concerns to ZMF support, awaiting an answer. Didn't notice it in the shop but looks shoddy for brand new.. was even told this was a limited edition for a premium price where upon further inspection its just a dark stain ambrosia - which I don't think is limited edition? Worried...

    ZMF Auteur Thread

I recently bought the Auteur from a dealer - the mesh seems to have come from underneath the grille and looks 'white' like glue. Anyone else have this? Any chance I was sold B stock?
