Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I will check out the TH hp's, thanks!. I have the T70P ( which I love); wonder if the 1770's would be a significant step up? I will look into these, thank you! Anyone who has heard both the HD 700's and the Shure 1540's; any comments on similarities/differences between these two?- bellavida

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
Those look amazing; unfortunately they are over my budget; forgot to include that in my original post. I'm looking for something under 800; preferably staying within the 300-500 range. Thank you for the suggestion! I have not had a chance to demo the Shure 1540's; I read in another...- bellavida

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I fell in love with the HD 700's at first sound and I demo them each and every time I go into a store that carries them. The quality and clarity of the vocals, the separation of the instruments and the feeling that the artist is right there next to me never ceases to amaze me. When I am in the...- bellavida

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
I love these headphones the more I use them. I recently had a chance to demo some mid level headphones and was surprised how much better the T70 P sounded in comparison. The only headphone that blew me away more was the HD700 (in fact, I liked the 700's much more than the 650's that are so...- bellavida

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
Just got these delivered today and they are beautiful! Extremely well made and the stock pads are absolutely comfortable enough, I agree with you on that. Really liking loving the sound quality so far; they are clearer and smoother than the Denon MM400, which are more expensive. They...- bellavida

First Impressions of the new Beyerdynamic T70p
Considering trying out the T70p and hesitating only for lack of a detachable cable; how much would it cost to mod these and make the cables detachable?- bellavida

Denon AH-MM400
Received my Denon MM400's yesterday. First impressions: Design; Very solid construction, beautiful design. The only plastic part is the inner part of the ear cups, which is covered with metallic paint. Overall, they look more expensive than their price tag. The wood cups are gorgeous. They...- bellavida

Denon AH-MM400
I read that they are similar or better to the D600 but even better that they can rival the 7100's, that's at least a $300 difference btw those two models. Very good to know that; they arrive tomorrow so really looking forward to testing them out!- bellavida

Denon AH-MM400
Will definitely burn them in (after listening to them first of course; just ordered them today and am impatient already). Just hoping they are comfortable enough as I am very picky on that factor, even more than the sound quality. Thanks for the input!- bellavida

Sony MDR-1A - Sony's latest update on the 1R
Haven't listened to the A1's enough but just based on what I have heard so far, I think you would appreciate them. Just the comfort alone makes the listening that much more enjoyable but compared to the XB500's, the A1's definitely sound better imo and the cable is detachable, a big plus.- bellavida

Sennheiser HD439 review
Amazing sound for the value on the 439's. I love the Beyer DT 770's and was considering the Custom One's but I have read mixed reviews on them. For anyone in the market for the Senn 400 series, there is a slickdeal which would bring the 439's to 40.94 with shipping. This is a really great...- bellavida

Denon AH-MM400
I decided against the T1's due to their open (semi-open) design. If I do upgrade my open hp, I'll probably opt for the T1's or the HD 700's as I can get them for under $500 and love their immersive sound. Thank you for the suggestion xanlamin. After spending way too much time...- bellavida

Denon AH-MM400
Having auditioned both, which would you say has a better soundstage? I listen to acoustic and soft-rock tracks as well as record vocals and guitar; no heavy metal, EDM. Any recommended headphones for this under $800 with a larger soundstage? I want the Beyer T5p's but the non-detachable cable...- bellavida

The Soundstage Head Club
Denon AH D600 has been mentioned but does anyone have feedback on the soundstage of the AH-MM400? It is also part of Denon's music maniac line. I have not seen a ton of reviews on it, but that also may be due to the fact that it's not available anywhere I can find to demo it.- bellavida

Chicago area stores to demo Denons
Hi Nick, Decibel Audio is on Milwaukee Ave near the Wicker Park area. It is a small store but they have a good selection of amplifiers and turntables. They have about 8 headphones hooked up to an amplifier, so you just plug in your audio and test each one out automatically. The majority...- bellavida
