1MORE H1707 Triple-Driver Over Ear
From what they said when I wrote to them, yes, they have discontinued the silver version. If you look at their page now, the copper ones are next on the chopping block too.- Balmoral

Do you remember what size allen wrench you used to remove the cover to get to the "glass?" Thanks!- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
No mods...just stock. I either use my IPOD with the Wadia 170 through an Anedio D1 or BT through the same DAC.- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
I still love mine, although I have switched back to headphones for awhile. Too much IEM use irritates my canals.- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Okay, so I've been through just about every post here and the biggest issue seems/ed to be tips. I haven't seen it mentioned so just a fyi for those that may not know, comply's fitting this are the 600's. I've only seen people talk about 400 and 500's, so perhaps the 600's are relatively new...- Balmoral

Converting existing system to computer
ProtegeManiac : I didn't know you could bypass the DAC's on those network media players. That would certainly increase my interest in them though...if only to just to have the option for the "just in case" senario.- Balmoral

Converting existing system to computer
Currawong : Thanks for the info on the hi-rez and binaural info. That's the kind of stuff I'm interested in. Never thought of upgrading the Dac though. I know the Anedio is an older unit, but I think it was very well regarded for it's design when it came out. Unless something has been...- Balmoral

Converting existing system to computer
Thanks for answering all. obobskivich : I have an old windows laptop that I was thinking of using that. It is not the computer I currently have I Tunes on. That's on my desktop. I thought about transferring my Ipod directly to the laptop though. As far as connections go, I don't think the usb...- Balmoral

Converting existing system to computer
Hello. I hope this is the right section for this if not, perhaps a mod could move it to the appropriate place. I currently use an I-Pod 160gig through a wadia into an Anedia D1 Dac. This has served me well for years now, however, I have been getting more and more curious about hi rez music and...- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Just a quick update on these. I was originally running them straight through my I pod when I gave my initial impression of the "harshness" in the area of cymbals and such. I have since gone through my standard setup of using the i pod through the Wadia and Anedio (1) dac. What an improvement...- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Thanks for the suggestion Dobrescu, but the bass is one of my favorite things about these and they are at minimum. What I'm trying to describe is a "sizzle" with certain recordings at whatever frequency cymbals tend to sit. I'm sure it's partially the recorded material it self, but it's strange...- Balmoral

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
I just picked up a pair a couple days ago after my monster turbines started showing channel imbalance. I agree that with some material there can be some harshness, I notice it primarily with cymbals. Sometimes with over enunciated S's as well. I'm hoping this tames itself down after some burn...- Balmoral
