Plug headphones into iFi audio GO link for supercharged sound!

Still seeing it but I’m now heading away on an overseas trip without my windows laptop so I won’t be able to try again for a couple of months. I’ll try uninstalling the drivers when I get back and starting from scratch.

Plug headphones into iFi audio GO link for supercharged sound!

Ah, but here's the kicker; this is happening on a machine where the driver is already installed.

Plug headphones into iFi audio GO link for supercharged sound!

...so I've finally gotten around to updating my Go Link to the new firmware but the update utility isn't recognizing that I have the dongle plugged in, is this happening for anyone else?

…so I see not one, but two new firmware updates have dropped…

That happened to Me with the iFi Go Link when I first got it, I was lucky I had an IEMatch in the signal chain or I’d have permaborked my ears. In the case of that unit issue was resolved by flashing different firmware to it. Didn’t have any problems after that. I’ve never come across the same...

…sorry for the massive screenshot, I was doing this on my iPad. Here’s the custom PEQ I set for my Daily driver IEMs back in September, 7kHz isn’t the default frequency for that slider, I believe it’s 6kHz.

One of the reasons I picked the BTR7 over the BTR5 *was* the wireless charging, that way if it runs out of juice and I’m not able to plug it in I can recharge it off the back of my phone. I’ve successfully put that to the test, too. Personally I think it’s an ok trade-off, but I’m also not...

...Ohhhhhh, interesting. I've got EQ profiles set up for my IEMs but the one for my daily drivers (CA Mammoth) is quite subtle I hadn't noticed it wasn't working when I switch from my phone over BT to my laptop over USB using the same IEMs...putting the psycho in psychoacoustics? Even if it...

I have found that it will cycle the battery when I’ve got it plugged into my laptop at work, once it hits 80% it stops charging (I expect this is because I’ve got the battery protector switched on) then runs on battery down to…some low percentage, maybe 20%? before the lightning symbol reappears...

Can’t say I’ve run into issues with the connections myself, but maybe I’ll look into a magnetic USB cable as a precaution.

I updated straight to 1.95 out of the box, but I remember seeing in the older release notes that they had made wireless charging independent of the ‘dongle mode’ switch in an earlier version so that’s not without basis.

I can concur, mine does the same. I don’t use the wireless charging as much as I thought I would during my day-to-day life (comes in very handy when you’re stuck at the airport and your phone has reverse wireless charging though!) but the times I have left it on the wireless charger it goes up...

I can’t say I’ve run into that exact weirdness with mine, but I’ve seen similar behaviour when using short cables with other equipment. …could be a break in one of the cores of the original cable maybe?
