    KSC35 slaughters the KSC75!!

They don't use the same drivers. The 75's are coated with something (makes them look metallic) and the 35's are nearly transparent. Other than that, they are identical, but i guess it (the coating) does affect the sound of the phones. I thought the same exact thing before also( ksc 35's being >...

Newbie to IEM's...I just have a general question about them

The most important difference imo that most people are omitting is that all IEMs really don't have much (if any) response over 16khz. [This includes the overblown specifications of sony ex71, senn cx300, etc]. Now depending on the person, this may or may not be a huge difference. Some of...

Ety ER6i sound quality? (Koss ksc55/75 as reference)

I don't know if you've ever experienced IE monitors before, but you'll have to get used to the highs. I don't know of any IEM that can extend in the higher frequencies as well as a good dynamic phone can. There is just some sort of 'presence' missing; but you'll get used to it over time...it's...

Cerulean XLR earbuds - anybody tried 'em?

In a nutshell...they're horrible, probably even more so than the original ipod buds due in part to fit. They are larger than the ipod buds and therefore don't fit properly in my ears, whereas the ipod buds do. On top of that, they have an annoying shape-the ipod earbuds are smooth and round...

Ever question your headphone preferences after hearing good loudspeakers?

    ksc75 vs e2c

well yeah, with a good eq you can make nearly anything sound bearable. im sure the ksc 35 or px100 would sound as good or better from a good source with an amp & eq. for those who don't have these amentities, the e2's absolutely suck on the high end.

    ksc75 vs e2c

i'm not exactly sure what your price range is, and the e2c's do isolate great in portable situations, but they sound absolutely horrible. It's like they were designed to have a total absence of treble frequencies. I could not believe that people actually recommended them to me, and i was...

Quick question about the shure e4c

...can they be worn without looping the cable around the ear??? I'm trying to choose between the e4c and the ety 6i straight out of a 4g ipod, and i prefer how the 6i just hang out of the ear. thank you

Proof that the KSC35 and KSC75 are not the same drivers. (pictures)

hey wodgy, the older (i mean really old) ksc 35's came with a silver-terminated cable with a straight plug, slightly larger than the one used now(i have no proof, just my memory). maybe this could be what accounts for the different fr response between the ksc 35's and the other 60 ohm koss...

Proof that the KSC35 and KSC75 are not the same drivers. (pictures)

I wish I had a digicam, because my ksc 35's have the same color drivers as the 75's!! I've had older versions that have the same clear drivers that are pictured above. Maybe they made a mistake during manufacturing! But seriously, i think that the drivers are the same, just colored...

What other koss cans use the same driver as the portapro?

Quote: I think the UR40 uses PP drivers. yes, they do as so as the sportapro, portapro, portapro2, ksc 35, ksc75, ksc55, & ksc 50.

Got the Sony MDREX71s... now what?

oh yes, and if you do not necessarily need canalphones, go woth the koss ksc75/ksc35/portapro's as crazyfrenchman27 said. They offer amazingly clear, detailed, and balanced (for the most part, but they are slightly bass heavy) sound for their price.

Got the Sony MDREX71s... now what?

Got the Sony MDREX71s... now what? Now you have some horrible p.o.s. cans! No but seriously, imo the ex-71 suck and are not worth the money. depending on your sound signature preferences, i would step up to at least the ety er-6, er-6i, or the shure e3c. Skip the e2's-they are not worth...

    Koss KSC-35 vs. KSC-75

Oh, btw, for 4g ipod users with the static/audio defect issue, the ksc 75's have a VERY small metal base on the plug, and therefore you probably won't experience the hard drive whirring noise ( I don't anymore) because the base of the plug does not touch the chrome casing of the pod'.
