Dear Shanling, I encountered such a problem, when I connected an OTG USB flash drive with type C USB connector, the playback is broken and then continues, I did not notice the regularities, maybe one or another file, another time these files are played well, but the sound in others. Such problems on the micro SD card is not noticed.

Ok. I will try to reproduce this problem on my M2s and analysis what cause it. Will reply you later.

@Shanling I would like to commend you on your prompt responses. I am a happy owner of two other Shanlings and am looking at this unit also. So your help is much appreiated.

Just to clarify, can this unit play any kind of SACD ISO files? On the M2, one has to extract DSF files from the ISO using various utilities Whereas my old FIIO X3II could play the ISO file directly which is nice.

It may only play 2-channel audio files, rather than the type which have multi-channel surround tracks.

That makes sense that it would be stereo only. Those files tend to run 1.5 to 2.0 gb; the multichannel files are usually two or three times as big so that it a tipoff. Then I definitely need to extract the music to DSF files

I discovered this the hard way with my FIIO X3 Gen II.

Hi Shanling, the problem I described was gone, the only thing that reset to factory settings ... Perhaps the problem arose after the firmware was updated, after which I did not reset.

M2s can play SACD ISO of DSD 64,DSD 128 and DSD 2560directly except DST.

Thanks. I wonder if that ISO playback feature can be added to the original M2? I may keep that unit around for my car and it sure would be a nice feature.

I suspect the M2S software is similar to the M1; which is pretty stable.

I would not classify the original M2 as fully stable; it is pretty easy to get situations with a white screen or when a pin to the reboot button is required. A stability release for that unit would be grea.

I just ordered a Sandisk 200GB card, and popped it in the DAP, without doing any format change - it came as exFAT - and it works fine.
