So all of your songs with the cue sheets is causing unknown album issue or it just some of them??

Any folder with a cue sheet was causing the 'unknown album' problem . . . BUT . . . the cue sheet was originally created when I ripped the SACD disc to .dsf file format.

I'll let others do more extensive testing but properly formatted cue sheets might be fine in the M1, it created a problem in my case because the cue sheet was probably pointing to the directory I ripped it to (etc).

Its different sound character IMO,
M1 neutral sounding its depend on your cans if your cans warm it will sounding warm , if your cans is bright it will sounding bright. The power might be small but it doesnt a problem u can stack it with an amp also improve the sound.
Cayin n3 have warm sounding signature as i remember it a bit similiar with fiio x3ii but with more mid forward , the power is very huge in a case u actually doesnt need an amp to drive some high ohm cans.
Shozy alien , never try it i cant say sorry
I'll add an one option for almost to get in those price range
Xduoo x10 is good also to considering if you just want about sound quality , flat sounding signature slightly warm not very warm, blackbackground, good power but a bit laggy when you want to change the music when select in folder only another than that was good.
I prefer shanling m1 because its more suitable sound sig for me , i want to neutral dap so whenever i want to hear different soundsig like bright to warm i just need to change the cans. My personal favourite for m1 is good to see an album art in m1.

Are there silicone cases available for the M1? I can only seem to find one single type of leather case. Since I want to use the M1 for listening to music while doing sports, a silicone case with a clip would be ideal.

Does anyone have experience with the M1 for sports/biking? I'm looking to replace my Sansa Clip+, which I recently managed to lose on a bike ride...

What's wrong with Shanling's leather case? It comes with an arm band which can be used for any sports activity

Is android the only OS that we can control M1 remotely? I know it was said iOS is not here yet. But is windows supported?

FOr now HiBy link app is available only on Android. iOS version is in works, but I don't think HiBy ahs any plans to make it for windows.

Well, M1 is the smallest one :grimacing:

We designed our leather case to be used with M1 especially for sport activities. You can easily put it on arm band, belt or any other similar place.

Just received my M1 from Massdrop. What a beautiful device :) Love the HiBy link!

All was well for the first couple of hours, but now it appears to be getting stuck in a bootloop at start-up. The boot-up screen comes on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, goes off for about 1 second, comes back on for about 10 seconds, etc. Well, you get the picture. It seems the M1 doesn't like my choice in progressive rock music, because if I eject the microSD card, it boots up ok.

Anybody else had this problem? Is there a fix for this that doesn't involve deleting my epic prog rock collection?

Do you have an alternative memory card you could try?

I would be so happy if I see "Added bookmark feature"
Did you change anything about screen lock operations? I am still at v1.12 because it was perfect for me.

I get the exact same behavior with all my SD cards. These are cards that work perfectly in my FiiO X1, X7 and Questyle QP1R players. But who knows, maybe all my cards have insidious errors that only the M1 can see?

What capacity cards are you using?
Are they formatted as FAT32 or exFAT?
I've got a 200GB Sandisk microSD card (formatted as exFAT using my Win7 PC) in my M1, and it works fine.

Is your M1 in its leather case, or not?
If it's not positioned properly, maybe the case is pressing on buttons, and affecting the bootup.
