Cayin is a China based audio company devoted to developing best-sounding audio equipment within budget. They have a comprehensive product collection ranging from CD players to speakers but their tube amplifier has been particularly well-received. Cayin ventured into personal audio on 2013 and launched a comprehensive list of Headfi products ever since:

On early March 2016, Cayin has launched their fourth DAP, N3. Priced at US$149.99 (subject to local tax and logistic charges), the N3 is the entry model of our well-received N series DAP. It offers innovative connective and impeccable digital audio handling capability at its price range. It’s very compact light-weighted and highly pocket friendly. The audio performance of N3 maintained the overall Cayin sound signature; it resembles the sound of our acclaimed i5 Android DAP, offers tremendous balance among resolution, powerful, control and musicality for the music lovers and audiophiles.

Cayin values the user experience and constructive feedback from HeadFi, we learned a lot from this community and we sure hope to get connected with as many dedicated and diversified DAP enthusiast as possible. In view of this, Cayin will organize a world tour as follow:

Current Portable Source gear: Fiio X5, Xduoo X3
Portable Amplifiers: Fiio e7,e17, and e09k, iBasso P4

Superlux 660:

I would plan to use the N3 by itself with IEMs, line out to Magni to run my Fostex planars, and Coax out to my main system.

My musical interests are predominantly Blues, blues/rock, and old style guitar rock.  I am sucker for a sax and a piano in a rock band.    The files I use for reviews are a mixture of 320kbps Mp3, 16/44 Flac, and 24/96 Flac. Most of my music files are 16/44 FLAC with roughly 25% higher resolution files.

My iems include Denon Urban-Raver, Sennheiser ie80, Audio-technica ATH-23N, and Mee Audio Pinnacle.
My over ears include Fostex-TH500RP and T50rp(heavily modified), Grado 225e, Beyer 880 (250ohm) and Senn 6xx.

Thank you for your consideration.

I would like to be considered for the Cayin N3 review tour, please:

Head-Fi username: kavalier
Location (City, Country): Bucaramanga, Colombia
Current Portable Source gear: Cayin i5, Iphone 5S

I would plan to use the N3 by itself with IEMs, use it as DAC through USB with my DELL XPS 15 (L521X) and use it as a wireless DAC/amp with an Iphone 5S.
My musical interests are predominantly Classical, Choral, Instrumental Music, Jazz, Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative, R&B and some Latin Music.
The files I use for reviews are a mixture of 16/44Khz, 24/96Khz, 24/192Khz AIFF files and DSD 64/128.

My iems include Trinity Delta V1 and AAW A3H Pro.

This would be my first review tour. I´ve read lots and lots of IEMs and DAPs reviews exhaustively and I can do my best for a precise N3 review.

Thank you for your consideration.

I would like to be considered for the Cayin N3 review tour, please:

Head-Fi user-name: Mshenay
Location (City, Country): Myrtle Beach South Carolina USA
Source gear: Hifiman HM 901/HM 601 LG V20
Portable Amps: iBasso PB2

I would love to see how it compares to my HM 601! As well as how it works with my V20 as a Bluetooth source, that wireless dac/amp function is pretty cool
I've got a nice range of headphones to use it with, from entry level equipment like my Superlux HD 668B, my Sennhesier HD 25-1 ii's to more boutique equipment like my Nhoord Red V1 and Audio Technica ES 10. I'm also taking part in the Meze Neo Tour, but I have yet to receive those.

My musical interests are almost everything, from Classical, to Jazz, to Heavy Metal, Electronic Dance Music and Folk Rock! More information about what I listen to when I review can be found here, for play back I go up to 24/96bit Flacs exclusively and I do stream 320kbs to my UE Megaboom.
Additionally, my blog has a lot of my content, including my participation in the Fiio X5 tour among many others.

Some of my favorite reviews are listed as followed

Andy - I can do it, and am interested - but definitely snowed with work and back-log.  If you can fit me in at the back end of any tour down under - I'll clear space.

I would love to participate in the N3 review tour. I absolutely loved the i5, and a hand off with Pinky was easy, as we live 45 minutes from each other.

iFi iDSD Micro Black Label: "Just One More Day, Please": https://www.head-fi.org/f/showcase/ifi-audio-micro-idsd.20201/reviews?page=4#review-17607

Vibro Labs Ara: https://www.head-fi.org/f/showcase/...ure-in-ear-monitor.21334/reviews#review-17802

Current gear: Shanling M1/M5, FiiO x5iii, iPhone 6+

IEM's: Vibro Labs Aria, Unique Melody Martian, thinksound ON2, Audioquest Nightowl, MEE Audio M6 Pro

Portable Amps: iFi iDSD Micro Black Label, FiiO A5

Reasoning: Well, I loved the i5, and look forward to Cayin's latest iteration, which fits into the portable market quite nicely. I would compare the N3 to my M1 as a portable workout unit, as well as my "home" DAP against the x5iii & M5.

It would be an honor to be included in Cayin's latest tour, as the previous tour was fantastic. I am very interested in the latest iteration of a Cayin DAP.

Thank you for the opportunity, and I abide by all tour rules, regulations and requirements.

Thank you, Andy!
