It has taken me a long time to get caught up on this thread.  Now that I have, I would like to take a few moments to talk about my impressions, make a suggestion, and maybe ask a quick question.

Intro:
I will start by saying that I bought the Delta and Hyperion from the Kickstarter campaign.  I received mine in the later stages of the delivery.  I think mid to late September.  I really love the Delta with the gunmetal filter.  Great job Bob!  You should be very proud of what you have accomplished.  Your interaction with Head-Fi and your customer service (from what I’ve seen) is stellar.

Background:
My usual portable setup is 320 MP3 > Ipod Nano > Headstage Arrow 2.2 Gen > Delta > Gunmetal > small silicone tips.  I listen to all forms of Rock, Metal, and Blues.  No classical, no Jazz, no Pop, no EDM, and no Growly Cookie Monster Metal.  (For non-portable use, I have FLAC, and other DAPs and amps.  This will mainly pertain to the portable scenario.)

Last year, I purchased the Rock Jaw Alfa-Genus.  For those of you who are not familiar, Bob worked with Rock Jaw on this design before he created Trinity.  (Please correct me if I’m wrong in any way.)  I was tremendously impressed with those IEM and when Brooko linked to the Trinity page, I was there from the word “go”.  For reference, some people say that the Alfa-Genus are bass light, but I use them with Headstage Arrow 2.2Gen.  It has a bass boost selector.  0dB – 6dB – 9dB  (I think those are the steps.  Going from memory).  With the Alfa Genus, 6dB of bass makes it perfect.

Delta Impression:
When I change from the Alfa Genus to the Delta with gunmetal filter, I need to reduce the Bass boost to zero on the Arrow.  I absolutely love it.  The bass performs exactly as I would want it to, and is not bloated.  I was listening to Sister Disco by the Who the other day, and Entwistle’s bass line was brought out beautifully in the mix without stepping on the rest of the sound.  Made me smile.  I've also listened to the Delta and Hyperion on Ray Samuels Intruder.  Simply perfect.  But that isn't my walk-about amp.

I have not really moved the filters around too much.  Gunmetal is perfect for me for now.  I don’t have the gold.

Suggestion:
As with almost everyone else, I love the cable.  My only suggestion and biggest niggle is that it is simply not long enough.  I wear my IEM exclusively over my ears, and put the ipod/amp in my pocket.  For walking/running, and for going to the grocery store, the cable is about 3 to 6 inches too short.  The length puts a strain on both ends while in my pocket, and isn’t comfortable.  I am not a tall, lanky, person.  I’m 5’10”.  So I can’t imagine how much more difficult it would be if I had an even longer chest.  I have never had this issue with any other IEM I have owned.  (And I’m almost 47 years old, so I don’t wear my pants around my knees with my unmentionables showing either.)

I would like to see another 5 to 6 inches on the length of the cable, please.  Then it would be perfect.

Hyperion:
I also have the Hyperion, but haven’t used them as much as I have the Delta.  I did pull them out during my vacation in October and started running them through their paces.  One thing that I noticed is that on my right side, the seal is so air tight that it feels like I have congestion and high pressure for about five minutes.  Then it will eventually “pop” = release the pressure.  But if I take it out of my ear and put it back in, it goes total vacuum = pressure again.

Question:
Is it normal for there to be complete vacuum seal on the Hyperion.  Is this something that will ease up with time?  Or do I have an improperly functioning pair.

Again, thank you so much, Bob for the Delta.  I can’t wait for the Phantom.  I just hope that the cable is a wee bit longer.

Great suggestion on the cablr and most certainly one to keep in mind for Phantom.

Cant say i have had any reports of vacuum on any model so far and without inspecting them i couldnt say if there is a fault with them or not, but i am more than happy to inspect them and repair or replace as needed.

I've noticed that some producers uses a longer cable lately and I'd say that it's a two egged sword: if you use them over the ears it's fine but if you wear them down the cable is too long and a hassle to use when out and about (gets stucked easily) in my experience...

@Bobtrinity Thanks for the reply.  Your attention to this thread is top-notch.
As for the Hyperion.  Thanks for the info.  I'll run them through some more burn in and see if something loosens up.  If it is still a problem, I'll PM or email your support.

@peter123  I completely agree about cables being too long can be a 2 edged sword.  I've even cut some of my over ear HP cables shorter because if it is too long, it is a pain.  But the Deltas were simply too short to put in a pair of gym shorts and go for a walk.  Cheers!

Just unfortunate cable length for you. Sometimes a problem with not being shorter lol. I'm 5'5" and also only wear them over-ear and it's fine for me.

Testify, brother!!

Nope, you just have to be the first to grab the name :P. I see a good choice for an IEM in that pic, a questionable lanyard and a......it might be best not to mention that shirt lol. In all seriousness, is yours one without a cinch or are you just not using it? I can't tell.

No, I'm just not using the cinch. I really only use the cinch when I'm very active like sports or lawn work where I'm moving around a lot:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: You don't like my Joker lanyard:open_mouth: Good idea in the shirt, better half buys me thise because she does not have to iron them:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

:beers:

I'm also 5'10 and am very active, I find the cable long enough for all activities where my phone is in my pocket. I wear it inside my shirt and over ear. But another couple inches could not hurt, would suit me too for when I check or use the phone.

(but my Atlas with the Bluetooth module would be even better Bob hint hint :p)

Bob. Please make the cable longer. I'm 8'7" and I'm getting tired of having to duct tape my Fiio X1 to my neck...
