Great headphones you have created!

When do we expect Eather E will become available for ordering and start shipping, and have you any plan for different colors, like dark blue or black?

/ Fredrik

We're trying like crazy for September. Multiple colors? Negative.

I have a friend with the $4.6K Mjolnir Audio KGSSHV Carbon. It performs amazingly well with his Stax 007 and 009. I am hoping to try my L700's on it soon to see how well they scale above my iFi iESL. I am sure the Ether ES would be driven supremely well by the KGSSHV Carbon.

Never heard of it but it sounds like a funny name for a brand. What is kgsshv?
Kevin Gilmore Solid State High Voltage electrostatic headphone amplifier.

I didn't get a chance to listen to it, but I snapped a photo of the Ether ES at the Source AV event today. It looks really purdy in-person!

That is going to look amazing on my desk.

No problem. Dan just gave us permission to start our presale program on it this last weekend. We've got 10 so far and will happily take care of your order too.

I had the pleasure of listening to the final production version of the Ether Electrostat at Saturday's event at The Source AV using a Chord DAVE DAC and a Blue Hawaii amp and I think they sound spectacular. Amazing bass for an electrostatic headphone!

While I have said the STAX 009 is the top dog in Estats but now I have to change my thoughts on that topic. The 007 & 009 can't hold a candle to this version of the MrSpeakers Ether E. this one is going to cause on upset to STAX fan boys and definitely cause issues with other brands that make and sell Electrostats.

Leaving such a thing out of the equation, I'll love to hear the new Ether ES, and compare it with my 007, which, by the way, is as it should be, with the port mod, the bigger MK1 springs and the front arcs bended for perfect fit...you have to hear one on this condition, it's miles better than stock.

As for your comparing the 007 and 009 to the Ether E to see if my impression is relative be my guest, I think that is a great idea. Some pretty damn good ears judged the Ether E to be better than the Shangrilaw and the SennHeiser HE1-Orpheus v2. I'm pretty sure there won't be much argument on the topic after it's been heard but as always there will be arguments like yours in advance of hearing it.
