I have been using Kimber Axios copper for the past few months and have been very happy. I will be receiving the Hybrid copper/silver version on Friday for use with the 1Z Walkman. Looking forward to it - I have big expectations.

When I was at CanJam NY I had a long conversation with the Focal people. When the topic of third party cables came up the first and only reply was Kimber Axios. Nothing better than getting it straight from the horses mouth.

I spoke directly with Kimber (and bought via TSAV) - the Copper/Silver Hybrid I am buying is interesting. It is not silver plated but rather 8 pure silver strands interwoven with 8 copper strands.

I recently experienced the same issue, except right channel. Very sudden. I ended up sending mine to Focal NA. Not sure if they're going to simply repair them or send me a new pair (I can hope!).

You should be going through your dealer to make things move faster. Just the shipping to Canada alone will add days to your service adventure. Exchanges for recent purchases are fast and easily done through a dealer that is service based. If it is an older purchase it may require support through a service center and there is service centers in the US.

I did but they ended routing me through the folks in Canada. Fortunately shipping was covered.

yeah - I was hoping is was a simple issue with the cable itself. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

The cost of shipping wasn't my concern. It the time it takes that I find unreasonable and dealers should be taking care of you because they are offered faster resolve for youthe customer than Focal NA in Canada can provide.

It's definitely taken much longer to resolve this than ideal. It's been a slow process.
