Absolute best budget earbuds?

$1 - $20
Vido ("J"-cable - rewired as "Y"-cable) has impressive Bass for the price
QianYun Qian25 sounds similar to the Vido
QianYun Qian39 has less Bass than Vido & Qian25, but better Midrange (smaller housing)
VE Monk+ is a good all-rounder (the $30 - 2.5TRRS model does sound better...)
Celebrat Mantis C7 has a Mid-Bass hump, which "helps" vocals
**** PT15 (newest version, without cable is $15) has a good balanced sound (earlier version had weak Bass)
1More Piston (EO303) has good balanced sound (the EO320 is reported to have better Bass)
NiceHCK DIY PK2 sounds amazing for the price, and the size fits me better than the MX500 style earbuds

$20 - $50
VE Monk+ 2.5TRRS Espresso has better Bass than the standard Monk+
Daik DK-Song has good Midrange & Treble, but less Bass

$50 - $100
Svara L has boosted Bass, with recessed Midrange & Treble
VE Asura 2.0 2.5TRRS has good Bass, and outstanding Midrange & Treble
MusicMaker TKY2 has good Midrange & Treble, but less Bass
K's 500 is probably my favorite "balanced sounding" earbud (I've got the $108 2.5TRRS version)

I own the Vido and Qian39 do you think the NiceHCK DIY PK2 would be a worthy addition? Or if I was looking for something clearly better than those 2 should I look to spend more on something else? Thanks for your impressions.

That depends. NiceHCK PK2 has a very different sound signature compared to Vido and Qian39.
If you want good mids/highs, but lesser bass (way lesser bass than Vido/Q32), then go for NiceHCK PK2.

I've re-cabled, as 2.5mm Balanced, both of my Qian earbuds (Qian25 & Qian39), and my Vido. I also still have stock versions of all three.
The Midrange & Treble is good on the Qian39, but it's better on the PK2.
I wouldn't necessarily say that the NiceHCK PK2 has way less Bass than the Qian39, but it doesn't have quite as much.
Neither of those two have the same amount of Bass as the Qian25 & Vido.
Both the Qian25 & Vido are in MX500 housings, and the Qian39 and PK2 have smaller style housings, which I believe has a direct influence on the quantity and depth of Bass.

I like all four that I've mentioned, but I enjoy the PK2 the most, for the music I listen to (mostly acoustic Celtic & Renaissance Fest musicians, and Iona (British Progressive Rock)), and with the DAPs I use (Cayin N3, Shanling M1, M2s, and Zishan Z1 (the Walnut V2 is still disassembled)).
However, if you're tough on earbuds, you can buy 4 or 5 sets of the Vido, for the cost of the PK2...

1-20$ T-Music DIY, Yinman 150 (23$)
20-50$ Seahf LD-4.0 400ohm
50-100$ K`500, Hi-Z HP400se

Thanks for suggestions, i'm even more excited to hear my on-the-way Yinman 150 now:wink: But I paid 29$ as everyone else here...

And about the LD-4.0....at 400ohm do you need a gigantic amp to driver them??

What? That NiceHCK PK2 aren't $3 or $4 like the Vido's and Qian39's lol! Oh well, I might just splurge based on your recommendation anyway! Besides, you like prog rock :)

Genuine question actually, at all other places, SHE3800 is at least $8, so how come at $3.5 on FastTech. Are they really fake that's why broke down in no time?

No they are not fake. My 3 pairs sound exactly the same. Regarding to your question about P180 and SHE3800 difference, I have already answered that before. Please read.

Just received Elecom Earbud as per @golov17 recommendations. Earbud looks good overall but sounding more like Monk+. Lacks some bass and boominess. I am giving it some time as it might change after some burn-in. But I am having some feeling that SHE3800 is the best sounding so far. Now if Elecom does not change its sound after 20-30 hours also, I might order SHE3800 with Mic but I am wondering if without mic is available at $3.50, then why with Mic is $12. Does anyone has link to SHE3800 with Mic which is around $5-6?

Also, I also felt some muddiness in sound and not that fun as of now. Pls note that I just heard few songs in the morning so far.

However, I am wondering, if any High Impedence Bud is also there which hasSHE3800 kind of sound with Mic? And comfortable also?

@AkashS04 I just took some measurements of the H180 and posted results in the earbuds roundup thread. Measurements indicate there is a difference between the SHE3800 and H180. You can find my post HERE.
Thanks bro. Just one thing, when you say that 180 has "and a slight bump around 2.5k", what does that mean? Also, with SHE3800, I found thumping or booming Bass and warmer sound, did you feel the same with 180 also? Vido is good in bass but missing boominess I guess.

the H180 has about 3db extra energy around 2.5kHz compared to a Vido... in the graph it looks like a bump, or hump. The measurements indicate the H180 actually has a tiny bit more bass compared to the SHE3800, however because the H180 also has much more treble energy, the SHE3800 will sound warmer overall.

Ok. But is 180 having more boominess than SHE3800 or it is same? And when you say brighter, is it smooth or harsh?
