I've got Auralex MoPAD's under my X300A's & couldn't be happier.. They angle perfect from my desk upward with double pads, & the isolation/dampening is excellent, &.. they're cheap. Plus if you were to decide to buy stands later you can always use them between the speaker & stand as desks...

I love my X300A's.. I have them on my "game-rig" & they are quite special..     Also slightly over budget at around a 1000,- AUD ( http://www.valuebasket.com.au/en_AU/KEF-X300A-Digital-Hi-Fi-Speaker-System/mainproduct/view/12741-AA-NA?AF=SB ), but worth a listen for sure.

I'd suggest to check your local stores & have a listen to as many as you can find around your budget.. Brisbane Sound Group for example sells the Adam A3X & A5X, & the Event 20/20 Bas V3 which would all be on the top of my list. Though the A5X might be a tad over your budget, they are excellent...

  They have a PCM1754 DAC in each speaker & a WM8782 ADC in the left speaker for the Line-in (mini-jack).

It's behavior is erratic to say the least; sometimes there's just a some mild static noise, beeps & clicks but that can be solved quite easily by unplugging it from power & USB (a couple of times), but sometimes there's real hard static noise, like a tube radio not tuned to a station with loud...

Dear sir , I'm looking for leather (or non-velours) earpads that will fit on the AD900's & which are a tad 'thinner' than the stock velours ones (thinner, so that the drivers are closer to the ears), do these exist? & what kind of material are the pads of the ATH-W11JPN? Are those suede? Ty.

I don't think there are fake AD900's, only fake sellers, & I think that's not the case here either.. I recently got my dad a new pair of AD900's from the UK for approx 18 UK Pounds more - that's incl S&H -, so from the land of origin price to me seems very possible. So i'd say go for it...
