Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I messaged him -- if we're talking about the same seller, he's in the UK and would prefer to keep it within UK. Surely one of you jokers would be willing to part with a K10 for a pack of bubblegum, a few kind words, and a homemade lasagna?- audible

Need HeadFi collective advice! Bad Trader?
It's very clear here that you're taking responses that support you with greater weight than responses that don't support you. What do you want us to say? That you're a good guy, and that you make good life choices, and your kids will grow up, learn to read, and get great jobs? Maybe he wasn't...- audible

Anyone have thoughts on the best custom IEM for female vocals? I listen to a lot of R&B, pop, and on occasion, soundtrack music. My top contender right now are the Westone ES5s.- audible

Shure SRH440 v. Sennheiser HD448
Quote: Yessum, I have done some thread digging. There are reviews of individual products, but I'm more interested in a comparison -- especially given that Shure's product is relatively new. Armaegis, thanks for your feedback. Have you heard both headphones directly?- audible

Shure SRH440 v. Sennheiser HD448
Experts, Please help me come to a consensus. I have chosen these two for purchasing in a very scientific analysis of Amazon numerical scoring. Needs: This is a gift for a friend of mine. Unamped ipod and laptop listening. Listens to pop music and R&B. Price Range ~100 USD...- audible

ld mk111 tubes
Haha, I was very confused when I read "MK111", since I'm more accustomed to seeing "MKIII"! I can only echo what someone else has told me (Prikelely Peete), but he recommended the Mullard M8161 CV4015 with the "large shield" (you can find them on ebay). I am using them now and can concur that... -
Mullard M8161 for LD MK III
I think everyone is just appalled that you use a 3 o'clock position! I didn't notice much gain when switching tubes -- if it's 3 o'clock now, it'll be 3 o'clock later. The clarity of the M8161 is much better than stock tubes though.- audible

Should I get a new amp?
JVL, I also have a pair of AKG K701's that I use with the Little Dot MK III (I picked it up from a fellow head-fier, but I have communicated concerns about warranty with David in the past and he is more than helpful). I can't speak for the WA6, although I am sure there are people who...- audible

Little-Dot MKIII or MKIVSE?
Tubes are risky in their very operation, I would not be surprised if they were broken. Now is a great time to start a quick make-shift tube-rolling operation!- audible

Should I get a new amp?
The Chinese amps are as competitive if not better than a lot of their American price-point counterparts. The quality is top notch, and service is pretty good to boot (David from Little Dot must sit at his computer and answer emails all day -- he's that fast).- audible
