Hi guys,

i am looking for some portable headphones for my ipod...

although i dont like in-ears but wanna give them a try..

Some sale is going on for Shure E102 at a local exhibition in singpaore..(Shure Earphone @ Comex Show 2008 - VR-Zone IT & Lifestyle Forum!) and i was thinking of buying them....but i have no experience with Shure.

how is the E102? Sound signature? detailing? .. soundstage if any?

I originally wanted to buy PX100 ..so let me know PX100 v/s Shure E102.

the sale ends tomm.. so i need an urgent reply.

The bass might be a bit thin -- but that depends on your preferences, what you're used to and what you listen to. The isolation should be very good -- that's a plus. They look great and should be comfortable with a variety of tips. But from what I read on Head-Fi, Shures rate higher as you move up the product line -- and move up in price.

I'm underwhelmed with the pairing of my Shure E3C's with iPod products, in terms of their relative inability to sound like "real headphones." This might be an issue for a first-time IEM user. If your source were something other than an iPod, it might be a better deal for you ...

ya its a new model..any reviews on it yet?

I was tilting towards PX100.. because IEMs have caused me a discomfort in the head in the past

Yup, its a Singapore forum on a Singapore IT exhibition.

The free gifts are probably some Shure branded items (mugs, shirts etc.) Got a Shure polo-tee from last year when I bought an E3.

Try it and tell us how it goes

But really, check the return policy. It never hurts to just try them if you can return them.

it seems gonna enter market from 10th of this Octorber. As far as I heard, it sounds like E2c with improved treble.
