In the end I decided to send mine back for a refit of the left monitor. The bass was slightly weaker and I had to adjust that phone every now and then to keep the seal. The audiologist I used offered free remolds so I decided to go ahead and get one, even if JH Audio weren't sure they would need...

I must say I have also been very impressed with the customer service I've received from JH. Sure, a pair of JH5's are relatively expensive IEM's (for most people), but compared to say a TV or a new car for that matter they're still not all that much money and I bet you'd have to work pretty hard...

Nice to hear that you got it working, but couldn't you've put a tiny bit of super glue on the end of say a match and used that to pull the broken off piece out?
