1000+ Head-Fier
its a darn good thing i didn't send this uDAC2 back to Crutchfield for a refund. why?
because the tip of a mini-plug broke off inside my Macbook, causing the headphone jack to become unusable. and since my Macbook is the center of my entertainment center, i had no sound.
i was very unhappily looking at prices for a new MacBook and not pleased to see that i would have to spend over a grand to get a new one.....all because this damn mini-plug.
then i remembered that i had the uDAC2 in a drawer! At first though, it wouldn't work, because the Macbook thought the headphones were still plugged in (since the tip of the mini-plug was still there inside).
so i grabbed an exacto knife and basically carved out enough of the miniplug that the Macbook no longer thought it was there.
and now I can use the uDAC2 for audio!!!! Yes!!!!
I have sound again!!
