Why get a cheap and noisy switching power supply and then regulate it with the LM7824? Build the whole power supply straight yourself. Get this and a small toroidal transformer and put the whole thing in a nice enclosure. Done. If you want to be more into DIY the same eBay seller also sells...

Thanks. It works fine. No noise, no issue at all. I did not listen to it a lot yet but as far as I can tell it sounds very nice. It's the IRFI510 (Digikey IRFI510GPBF-ND). Same as an IRF510 but in an insulated package so no need to play with mica insulators :D

Sure you need two tubes and that's what you get with a 12AU7 :cool: It's a dual triode tube so essentially two tubes in one. Cheers!

I just finished building the NP-100V12 by Rogers Gomez and I though I could share a few pics. That's an excellent little amp as far as I can tell. And it's even cheaper to build than the SSMH. Comments are more than welcome! ;)

There is no need to twist the wires imho. Cramped wires are not a problem neither. It's going to be easier to build all together if you use stranded wires.

Something went wrong? I really enjoy building P2P. It's like a challenging 3D puzzle and you can be very creative solving it.

I am resurrecting this thread to give you an update guys. I shipped the amp by Express Mail back to China one week ago. Today upon arrival Alex at Jasmine refunded me for the amp and shipping from China. However when I said that he should also refund me for my shipping charges back to China...

Maybe, I'll let you know how this goes. So far I am quite pi**ed off as you can imagine. Their quality control must be abysmal at best (the box was not damaged so I can only think my amp left China defective).

Don't forget the 336i, from what I understand it's not very different from the current 336se and can be found for a good price at Jasmine's. Alexander at Jasmine offered me a discount on one without even me asking. I am expecting delivery this week (HD580 here).
