    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Okay after more comparison the x1 are superior they have this certain soundstage and slam that isn't there on the x2hr, it's close though and they don't sell x1's anymore so i'll keep

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

"What do you think hd650 vs xr2hr? " I don't like my hd 650 that much I think the problem is I feel they need a lot of power like 300mw + at 600ohm even though they're meant to be 300ohm. They just feel underpowered on my schiit magni amp I bought the hd 650 about 5 years back and fidelio x1 the...

Anyone with HD650 and Philips X1 w. good desktop rig?

hd 650 and x1 here on a schiit magni the x1 sounds better to my ears more slam more detail is heard especially treble   The hd 650 sure do need more power I guess they sound great but thinner than the x1   They sound similar headphones to my ears the x1 is just more bassy has more slam to it...

    Schiit Magni Headphone Amplifier

Just got a magni on the cheap, it's okay a tad splashy in the treble perhaps ? I can see this would be a great amp for headphones that need more treble though.   Prefer the old fiio E6 sound on my fidelio x1's not tried the hd 650's on it yet but will do.   Happy for the cheapo price i paid...

For me the 650 sound very similar to the x1 just not as full bodied as obviously they need an OTL amp.

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

buying these 650 was a mistake by me whats the point if they only sound good on a only works well on 600ohm +£400 bottlehead or £500 + solid state amp may as well just change the 650 and get more expensive cans I have tried now the 650's on a few solid state amps and they sound thin and lacking...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

The X1 complaints of having recessed midrange and treble were just wrong imo, the midrange detail and treble is fully there it's just "rolled off" yes the midrange is ever ever so slightly "rolled off" I'd say like the sennheiser hd650 but the 650's just roll off the treble. The X1 sound very...

Saving up for a tube amp at least little dot mkIII for my hd650 before reserving judgement They do need high voltage right ? will always sound a bit thin on mid to low end solid states ?   No matter what people say they need a voltage only tube amps can supply ?
