I like things on my ears.  For a while I walked around with wet noodles on my ears but they just felt kind of funny.   Then, I wore a pair of bagels on my ears but got too many Princess Leia comments...   I tried to stop putting things on my ears for a while after that until someone suggested...

just a quick word, after much deliberation, and thanks in part to this thread, I pulled the trigger on the M500 a couple of weeks ago.  I had a problem with the cord jack in the headphones...  had to insert, then push really hard to get full sound in both ear pieces.  I listened for a few days...

Are the HE-400 similar enough to the HE-500 or a totally different animal?  Are the 500's worth the price difference?   Also any comparisons on comfort level between the Senns and HiFi-Mans?

Current "headphone" amp is none... cans will help determine the amp.   Ideally I will be using my MW Transporter as a source (balanced outs are available to feed a HP amp). The 5 bills are for phones only.
