No issues with speakers either... cept for the split second max volume output when audio is playing and the headphones are being plugged in or disconnected. 

Yeah, still game on pc but not quite as much anymore. I still use my H&K AVR-254 for console duty.

Gotcha. I had something similar that I used for my sonos. Ended up returning that one and picked up a receiver only model because it was one hell of a time to find something that stayed on and didn't go to sleep after 5 min if no activity.

    X7 can transmit and receive over bluetooth?   Also, getting in a nice pair of IEMs tomorrow. No one better steal it off my porch.

Ever thought about just getting a PCI-E extender ribbon cable for your Zx? It won't be a pretty build but you could potentially mount your Zx outside your case.

Inductive/wireless charging was one of the main reasons why I decided on the S6. I loved it when I had my Palm Pre and missed it tremendously when I had to upgrade and then upgrade again to another phone that didn't have wireless charging. The only time I ever need to plug in my S6 is file...

I'm not a fan of type c either. They look like they're just as prone to breaking like micro usb. I really hate to admit this but the lightning connector just might be the perfect connector.

Good point lol. Actually downloaded a proper test file this time. MPC:BE+LAVFilters and SBX got me a pretty convincing virtual surround with headphones. It didn't do that great with a 2.0 speakers tho. If I disabled LAV and used the built in filters then the soundstage felt small like a closet...

Pity. I wanted to avoid having to use my Xonar U1 for this. I was hoping that this would've been an all in one solution.

Finally got a working X7 LE after getting a bum unit from MD that had to get RMA'd. My unit's left speaker posts were outputting horrendous audio, the tinny, scratchy, echoing type. Kinda lost a lot of the cost saving from having to pay for shipping but at least it was <1 week turn around.  ...

So what's the thickness and the inner and outer diameter of the 1540 alcantera pads? Maybe I can mod them onto my Pro2900.

I keep telling myself that I'll pick up the TH600 but then I envision hot California summers. I'm still waiting for Ultrasone to announce something to the affect of a new line of PROS.

I'm curious if the 1540 could pull me away from my "bass modded" 2900. I will find a way to budget $500 for them, tax return maybe.   How's the heat with the 1540? Summer is coming up.
