Vintage Stax repair and maintenance
Hi I recently bought an Srm1-mk2 amplifier from Japan, but it appears that the transformer looks damaged I found a schematic from the amp but the voltage of the secondary is not specified in it. Anyone have the specification of the transformer? I will be able to replace it Thanks- Jaab

The only case where the he-adapter is mandatory is when you use a tube amplifier using output transformers If you connect your headphone to the speaker terminals you will fry your output transformers! Very instructive, thanks for your work! and confirm my impression of the Dekoni TH-900 Perforated Sheepskin pads, the lack of bass affecting the reproduction of the Cello, but the donut of felt underneath acting as a bass lens (?). I'm curious to know what else the donut felt have affected- Jaab

Someone posted this link about magnet, they talk about a company printing astonishing magnet! I can imagine a metal plate with plenty of holes (like a ortho driver) sent to this cie and they will be able to print the magnet covered with north-south cell (what would be the price...)- Jaab
