Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
Perfect! Thanks. The Xcited is even more recessed mid range so i'll definitely go IE.- TDRKZ

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
Would I lose a lot of detail compared to Xscape V1 or ER6i if I went Impressive Edition Joker? (currently leaning toward IE). I actually chose this direction because I wanted to try tasting something slightly different. I've been given a choice between the two for warranty and need to decide...- TDRKZ

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
I didn't pay a lot of attention to the amount of time burned in but I had them for a good month. 4-5 hours a day x 20 days would be something like 100 hours? The mids were not moving foward as far as I could tell.- TDRKZ

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
If I enjoyed the Sunrise Xscape V1 but felt like the mids/vocals were a bit too recessed/not engaging enough, which version would you suggest Joker? I enjoy analytical and loved my ER6i's, but I felt like the V1's had the vocals much further back than the my ER6i's which surprised me.- TDRKZ

[REVIEW] Sunrise Xcape v2 and Xcited
Quote: Cooled down now. V2's aren't bad headphones as many people have already alluded to, they simply aren't the same. A good analogy would be if someone told you they were going to buy you some ice cream on a hot day and in the end buy you hot chocolate. You would appreciate that...- TDRKZ

[REVIEW] Sunrise Xcape v2 and Xcited
Oh man..... I just received my V2's after returning my V1's for warranty. I was OK with getting my V1's replaced with V2's until just now. Suddenly I feel like I'm wading through mud. I had no idea that they were THAT much different. I can barely get any detail and all I can hear is slow and...- TDRKZ

[REVIEW] Sunrise Xcape v2 and Xcited
I got unlucky. After owning v1s for 3 weeks, i had to send them back for warranty. I am apparently getting v2s back... though it has been a month since i sent in my warranty.- TDRKZ

Experience with Sunrise Audio Warranty/Customer Support
Hi Headfi, Does anyone have any experience with Sunrise Audio's warranty/customer support? It's a little tricky because it's international and I was wondering how it went for people. I received my Sunrise Xscape about a month ago and have enjoyed them up until the right earphone began to...- TDRKZ

ER6i's Konked Out, Time for a Fresh New Start
When I wiggle the left wire and get it at a certain angle, sound is back again so I doubt it's the filter. If it's the filter then that would be great, I would just replace the filter. Unfortunately, I would have to buy some more to test so unless someone has had a similar problem and found that...- TDRKZ

ER6i's Konked Out, Time for a Fresh New Start
My friend has ER4p's that I have tried and didn't find any reason to move up to them when I tried it. HF5's weren't around back then so I don't know much about them. That said, I would likely stick with ER6i's if I were to stick with Ety. I wanted to explore a bit though into a slightly...- TDRKZ

ER6i's Konked Out, Time for a Fresh New Start
How is the Reliability? Are the wire connections to the earpieces reliable? The re-0 was something I was looking at but hearing about the breakdowns scared me.- TDRKZ

Another super WIN by Etymotic Research!
My left side connection is loose on my ER6i's. I had a great replacement about a year after I purchased them. I was thinking about switching to another brand since my warranty is up but maybe I should give them a ring and see if I can send my phones back for a pair of new ones at a discounted price.- TDRKZ

etymotic vs re0 vs triplefi
Just to throw in another VS that's supposedly similar to the ER6i and re0 is the Sunrise SW-Xcape.- TDRKZ

ER6i's Konked Out, Time for a Fresh New Start
Is it more than just the Tips that create good isolation? I was always under the impression that it didn't matter what In Ears they were as long as the tips isolated well. What stands out the most with the SW-Xcape frequency wise?- TDRKZ

ER6i's Konked Out, Time for a Fresh New Start
Hey Head-Fi, It's been a good 2-3 years since I put my wallet away but now my ER6i's have finally broken down. My left earpiece connection isn't working well and I'm not seeing any real way of fixing it. As I have been out of the fold for quite a long time, I went to the 140 something...- TDRKZ

AKG Shameless Marketing
Haha. You guys beat me to it. Trust me though, you see a LOT more audio technicas in animes. What's funny is I've even seen BOSE in Beck. As far as the anime itself. It's definitely not a starter anime. You generally need to be an otaku type to enjoy this.- TDRKZ

Upgrade from Audio Technica AD500s to AD700s?
I would even skip the ad900s. Compared to my ad700s not too much difference. Go straight for ad2000s.- TDRKZ

You're really not going to get much bass out of it. Even if you mess with eq it won't change much. Just enjoy the rest of it ^__^.- TDRKZ

interesting discovery on AD2000 regarding fit issues
O man this is crazy. I'm going to do the same with my AD700. I need to mush them together slightly. Lets see if something so illogical actually works.- TDRKZ

Best headphone for Classical and Acoustic music <$200
Since you have sr60's I'm assuming your looking for something a notch higher that can be run ampless. I will recommend to you the ad700 especially for acoustic. It's extremely good for classical but I feel that it has a magical feeling for acoustic music. The soundstage and way it presents...- TDRKZ

Rental
Might be easier to see if there is anyone who lives near you that is willing to let you audition some. There might be a Stax retailer near you as well (though there are only 2 listed in California on the Stax website).- TDRKZ

HD595 vs. AD900
I'm pretty sure comparing the AD900 and 595 is somewhat off track. I generally think of the AD900 as a tier above the 595's. As far as comparing the two, their sound is completely different, it would be more useful if you told us what type of music you listened to etc etc.- TDRKZ
