Congrats on the Ed. 9s. Seem to be a love 'em or hate 'em thing. Personally, I love them. While I've found they improve nicely with a good amp, I've also been content driving them with a Tomahawk and Supermacro. YMMV. Anyway, sit back and enjoy and let your ears be the judge.
