Ah, forgot to mention the only effect is how it feels when I turn it. No audible changes. I think it's just the wiper.

I've noticed the pot on my unit has started to become scratchy, does anyone know how easy it is to get to and lubricate?

Just got the V200 and V800. Coming from a Tubemagic D1, this is quite the transformation!

Do you keep referring to the N4 and 4S and 4C interchangeably? If so, I don't understand why (maybe it's because I'm new to IEMs) Do they use the same drivers or something?

The HD 25-1 II's sound perfect for what you want, not too bassy and sound great for those genres. While not too beautiful, they're practically indestructible.   Source: I own them.

Just ordered this with a pair of HD 25-1 II's and a BTG recable. Source will be a Galaxy SIII using Neutron Player and I was wondering if I could still use the DAC with Neutron, and compensate for the treble roll-off with some EQ?

They don't have much flow to the music (598), but are still great headphones imho. The 650's just fill in the gaps for me and generally have a better resolution. I'm thinking about getting a Bifrost/Lyr 2 stack with a pair of HE 560s for true reference listening.

I started with the 598's as my first pair of audiophile grade headphones, and now I've upgraded. They don't get much use any longer.
