I run Norse cable and a chord Hugo 2 on red filter... SDR mod works too if you want to try...probably the cheapest option

I have the Norne Audio's Draug v3 (same maker) and it really does make it sound a lot better, I have since remove my SDR mod and just rock the cable.

honestly a norse audio draug 3 cable stock pad is better than any pads or mod...

got a norse audio draug 3 cable...I know cable is controversial topic but really it does tame that mid...I since have remove SDR mod and powering it with Hugo 2 on green-red... SDR mod is nice but it really does make bass sound more like a padded bass rather than pin point bass hit...

I have both hd800 and T1 Gen1, they are not alike...the gen1 is very easy to get use to, the HD800 comes out as shouty, need SDR mod to tame it a bit and then its good.

not gonna lie the SDR mod really does wonder to the HD800! that shouti sensation is gone, bass is punchier and less boomy! really as advertise.

I had susvara too, would've kept it but I was afraid of the maintenance when the driver failed, so I thought I beat the Head-fi head god...That thing was a joy to drive on my Vio 281 on balance output, nothings can beat it.

I still have my Beyerdynamic T1 first gen....first love is always hard to let go...

have you try the suede pad? the suede pad suppose to subdue the mids a little

does it reduce the 6k peak? I imagine it amplifies it.
