Beat's Solo HD vs AT Pro, depending on your source and the kind of music you listen to.   BHD is more revealing and more harsh as compare to ATP.   Again the choice is yours. 

Agree, just go to a shop and audit all by yourself, no need to listen to so many opinions. "Too many cooks, spoil the broth.."    If you know what you want, just go for it..​

Tested this with a CD source and on a Beyer T1 and Sennhesier HD650, extremely layered, distinctive staging and very transparent, tonality and body, extremely clean, however, there no chance to audit them with a HD 800, but on a HD 700, sound is too revealing and harsh !  Value for money. c/w 4...

Bandwidth and resolution are also not there. Unless its a latest LP digitally remastered copy, maybe you can achieve better sound quality. Otherwise, its better to play as it is.... through a good Hi-fi Audiophile set up.

With Headphone or earphones, this player would sound real good, but what if its use as a main source for playback in a normal hifi condition ? Will it jitter ? or breakup ?  I have done several test using my ipods as a main source through server, its breaks and purse a little, and then reconnect...

Will the sound breakup if volume is increase ?

Simple stick, but don't do very much.   No No for me.
