I ended up finding a pair of momentums for a fraction of the cost of what I paid for my original E and went with those... I'm sure if I would have given it more time they would have been fine, but they just didn't seem to fit me right.

Which Gr07 do you have?  I waded through a post that seems to suggest that the drivers are not the same in the classics that are currently available which makes me slow to purchase them.  

Just thought about something.  What if I were to buy something cheaper than the price of the momentums and buy both a pair of headphones and IEMS?  Maybe the V-Moda M80 vocal (109 on amazon) AND the V-Sonic Gr07s (99.99 on amazon)?  That puts me at 200.00 and I'd have 2 quality headphones...

I'm almost certain that songs are all 320 kbps for Spotify now. Pandora's premium service is only 120 I believe.

Pandora is 64kbps i think...I can definitely tell the difference n quality.

Spotify has really improved. They're now 320kbps for premium users.

I went with the Sennheiser's as well. I love them… I actually do use them when on public transportation such as the train and they block out noise extremely well in my opinion. My headphones for home are the Sennheiser momentum's and I absolutely love them too. I agree with you about the case...
