    Non-isolating, comfortable earphone?

I am considering getting Sony EX85 or Sennheiser MX560 at £31 and £20 respectively. The Yuins seem a bit expensive and there is always the risk of import duty here...

    Non-isolating, comfortable earphone?

I've thought about the Yuins, but they don't look too comfortable?

    Non-isolating, comfortable earphone?

Hi, I currently have three "set-ups"; my casual one being PX100s connected directly to the line-out on my laptop. I use this for watching TV shows, background music, lying in bed etc. It is almost exclusively used at home, where isolation is a negative attribute. Unfortunately the PX100s...

    Opinions on "Cresyn AXE599" ?

I saw these mentioned in a thread as a good cheap earphone (£12), but I can't find any insights onto sound signature, comfort, leakage etc. Is anybody familiar with these? All I know is that it *might* use the same driver as Senn MX550. I am looking for a set of headphones for my girlfriend...

    £50: Comfortable, open & unamped - doable?

I think the PX100 may be the answer now I think about it!

    £50: Comfortable, open & unamped - doable?

Yeah, I also looked at the Portapro, I like their retro look. How do they compare to the PX100? It seems difficult to get non isolating earbuds with good sound!

Yeah, I thought about them but I usually wear glasses in the house and I am worried the pressure would become uncomfortable. A few people say they are quite "tight".

    £50: Comfortable, open & unamped - doable?

For my current headphones, look in my signature I am looking for a pair of "casual" headphones. At the moment I use Apple 'phones to listen directly from my laptop when I just casual listening and ability to hear external noise. The HD555 are too bulky, the UM1's are too isolating. The Vibes...

    Lets talk hearing loss

I actually think wearing noise-isolating headphones is protecting my hearing. When I take them off and hear the noise around, it disturbs me greatly. With my UM1's I have my iPod's volume on about 1/4-1/3, but when using the iPod headphones it needs to be up to almost FULL to hear the music...

    * Closed Headphones guitar playing, £50

Yeah, I suggested the HD280s but after considering a bit more I think perhaps my own HD 555 might be a decent solution in the price range. If he is in a brick-walled room the leakage from those won't be a disturbance, and I assume they will sound better than the 280s.

Thanks for the reply shadow. My first degree was Civil Engineering at Imperial College. This degree is at Univ of Liverpool (hometown). The MS-1s do indeed come highly recommended but there is no way they would be here on time (I think?). Women you see - never leave enough time for anything ...

Got in one rally, on the music front. He is pretty good actually from what I know. Problem with the Koss is they are designed for portable use and hence the cord is likely to be short and thin? I am not to sure he would find them comfortable either, since they clip on the ear. Jahn, UK stores...

Birthday is Friday so I (she?) would be ordering tomorrow daytime. Thanks for the Audiocubes tip. Problem with Grados is the lack of availability in the UK in such a short time frame, as well the associated increase in costs (somewhat offset by the good exchange rate however). The guitar...

Hi, my girlfriend is looking for some headphones for her dad since his birthday is coming up. He plays guitar through an amp and they are all sick of the noise Something comfortable (for someone with a larger head) that is closed back with a long cord. The price needs to be around £50...

New & sealed! As you may recall, I bought from a 100%feedback powerseller who is going through a tough personal situation just now, which makes things a bit more complicated. Hi, I got my UM1s on coupla days ago but I have noticed the cords appear to have light blue "marks" on them. I don't know if this is the black lining coming off, because I can't actually feel it properly. Anybody know?

    just got my shure e2c

I am no expert, since I have heard neither, but it seems to me that the CX300s are very bass heavy, and hence almost all other (more accurate?) choices will seem thinner on the bass.
