Choosing a full-size closed for electronic.
So I was dead-set on the TMA-1 (even though it's not full-size, I'm just looking for any headphone in the >$250 price range right now.) However, I'm not sure if it is the best choice at that price range. Let me reboot this discussion with a clarification of my music tastes. The headphone I'm...- 9Nein9

Good portable for DnB
Okay, so I had a chance to try out the HD25-1 II at B&H. Unfortunately, they didn't have the TMA-1, so I couldn't A/B, but I really liked the HD25. I thought it had a similar sound sig to the M100 (which I like very much), but what do I know, I'm not an audiophile. Anyway, I think some of the...- 9Nein9

Choosing a full-size closed for electronic.
How about the Ultrasone PRO 900? I can probably get a cheap one for around $350. I've heard that its bass is the best, but it has a slightly recessed midrange, and sibilant treble. I suppose I could stand the recession and sibilance if it has the best (and deepest) bass. Right now, I'm sort of...- 9Nein9

Choosing a full-size closed for electronic.
I already have the M-100. I like its sound signature, but I feel its bass could have a bit more impact. The amount of bass is perfect, though it doesn't really go as deep as I would like. I'm thinking the DT770 would be great for home listening as it is supposed to be very comfortable, but I've...- 9Nein9

Good portable for DnB
Seeing reviews for the M-Audio Q40, I'm intrigued. How would they compare to the ones I've already listed?- 9Nein9

Now how would the DT770 compare? I've heard that the bass extension and impact is excellent, but I've also heard that about the 580's. Would the ~$50 price difference justify the SQ difference?- 9Nein9

Good portable for DnB
I've heard the ESW9 praised for its ability with more mid-centric genres - not necessarily bass-oriented ones. How would its extension and impact fare with the HD25? Certainly I would want good mids, but not at the sacrifice of bass.- 9Nein9

Good portable for DnB
Alright, so I already have a couple full-sized headphones in my collection, but what I seem to be lacking are some portables (supra-aural). I can't exactly A/B many headphones nearby, so I've mostly stuck to online reviews. After a bit of searching, I decided that the Sennheiser HD25-1...- 9Nein9

Choosing a full-size closed for electronic.
1) Primarily home use. 2) I do have the FiiO E17 if necessary. 3) Absolutely. You know what, I don't even need this thread. I'll sell my house and buy some Studios. If you don't see how good they are then you are an idiot. They trump even the LCD-3's. /sarcasm- 9Nein9

Choosing a full-size closed for electronic.
I'm thinking the HFI-580 is a good choice. Preferred genres are DnB, EDM, electro-house. My budget is <$350. Preferably one which has great bass impact, good mids, and the treble doesn't really matter, although I don't like it to be aggressive or sibilant. Any recommendations?- 9Nein9

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I love these headphones, the sound is great, but then I found out that the earcups were removable. I took out one earcup, then the other, from the sockets. But, when I put them back in their place, I found that they now felt flimsy, and would move very easily. This caused problems, as now the...- 9Nein9

V-MODA Shield Design Discussion
I'm just about to order an M-100(I'm late, I know), and I am currently undecided on these two designs. <link> and <link> EDIT: Nevermind, I've chosen the second one. This is what it will look like on the shield: Nice, eh?- 9Nein9

Playstation 3 headset: fps gaming and music
I don't think a gaming headset will do you best. I think your best bet is the V-MODA M100(if you have $300 to spare :P), as it has two jacks, so you can just buy a mic off eBay or something to plug into one of them, then plug the cable into the other end. It's a great multipurpose headphone...- 9Nein9

Noontec Zoro or V-Moda M-80 or ?
Yeah, I think the M-80 might be a better choice, at least for me. I think in the future, though, I might order the Zoro just to piss Beats owners off with their superior audio :)- 9Nein9

Noontec Zoro or V-Moda M-80 or ?
I too would like to see a comparison between these two. I've heard the Zoro is a very good sounding headphone for it's price, but can it beat the M-80, over twice the cost?- 9Nein9

Best Sub-Bass: M-80, HD25-1, DT1350, Amperior, ESW9?
Ok, thanks for all your recommendations and opinions. I do have another question, however. It's not really related to this specific forum(portables), but I thought it worth a shot to ask. How does the Beyerdynamic DT880 250ohm fare with sub-bass, and soundstage?(also, will the FiiO E17 be enough...- 9Nein9

Best Sub-Bass: M-80, HD25-1, DT1350, Amperior, ESW9?
Ok, I think I've now narrowed it down to the M-80 and DT1350, I think the HD25 might not give me the bass extension I want. The problem is, people have different opinions on these headphones, it seems. Unfortunately, I don't exactly live near any headphone stores where I can audition them. The...- 9Nein9

Best Sub-Bass: M-80, HD25-1, DT1350, Amperior, ESW9?
I'm looking for a (portable) pair of headphones with great sub-bass, while retaining excellent mid bass, treble, and good mids. I will, however, allow for a lack of bass, as I can boost it with my FiiO. I just want great bass response, GREAT sub bass, and good treble and mids. I've narrowed my...- 9Nein9
