My friend claims that his XB1000 with a Digitoid ZO2 is way more bassier and more powerful than my XB500s when I let him audition them. Would the XB500 pump as much bass into your ears as a sub? I'm talking about into your ears, not felling the bass with your body.

Can they really match a subwoofer tho? I don't think the XB500s make me feel bass all over my body, but in terms of how much bass is pumped into your ears, can the XB500s really beat a large subwoofer? The youtube vids of subs sound hardcore...so hardcore that I honestly don't think XB500s can...

Has anyone ever compared the XB 500s to a subwoofer. I've never actually owned a sub before...so much for being a basshead:)

IEMS that have more bass than an XB500?!?!?! I've never dreamed of that! Can  you give me a couple examples please?

^Note: I already use ATH M50s with a Fiio e11 for my audiophile cravings. Now I'm looking for a "fun" pair of cand that basically have CRAZY bass with POWER. I'm willing to but any portable amp that I can velcro onto the back of my iphone 4S.

Hey guys, I am retracing my steps a bit. Let's just say I'm a total nooblord, and all I want is EXTREME BASS. I want the most hard-hitting, punchy, and powerful bass that any pair of headphones or IEMs (either one) can deliver...as close as it gets to a subwoofer

I also forgot to mention this. I don't mind if the bass overshadows the midrange a tad bit but not a lot. As long as the treble is not too shrill either, I'm okay.
